I never write reviews, but I felt like I had to for this one. His lectures were long and boring. His notes are scribbled on a thick pamphlet that you have to decipher. He skips over many details and he uses the hardest variation of the homework problems on the exam. Expect to teach yourself everything and still be lost in this class.

He goes well beyond what other professors teach and the fact that he is not very good at explaining things makes it very hard to keep up with the course. He gives good feedback if you go see him during office hours but confusing lectures along with tedious assignments and harsh grading make it worth finding another teacher instead.

Taking this professor was the worst experience I have ever had at RBS. He assigns hw on material you first learn by watching 1986 videos of his lectures. Makes you spend hrs on projects that wont be on the exams. You will put twice as much effort to receive a lower grade than your friends taking this class with other Professors. STAY AWAY!!!

He is probably the best stats prof. you will find at Rutgers if you want to gain something from the course and not just an A. Need to pay attention in class to be successful but dont worry he will repeat things multiple times which are really important. Try to participate in class(might make him lenient towards you.)

Took basic stats for research during the winter. You were given his video lecture printed out so you can take notes as you watch the videos. You basically teach the entire class yourself. AVOID THIS TEACHER AT ALL COSTS! Classes were so boring. No one participated and his voice is monotone. You got like 2 homework assignments. 2 exams & 1 final.

Great class if you need very simplified and throughly explained lectures. Prof grades very harshly (you have to do things exactly the way he would or you get points off.) May offer makeup exams if he sees fit. Very frustrating prof but does care about your grade.

What a horrible professor. If you're knowledgeable/experienced at statistics, steer clear. He gives detailed instructions for each process (good for idiots) and gives you no leeway. If you do a problem correctly without following his archaic, idiotic, method designed for a five year old, you get little to no points. Take it another semester.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I have never had to work harder for a C in my life. I have never rated a professor before, but felt compelled with how awful this class is. You will be required to watch a couple videos a week (2 hours in length) of him from 1986. Exams are extremely difficult and his excel assignments are super time consuming. If u have him, gl

Some students didnt like him because he actually explains why things work. All they want to do is to plug in numbers into formulas without understanding why. It is sad that good professors are "evaluated" by incompetent people. Watch his videos and come and ask specific questions. The professor doesn't have to reexplain you everything.

I have never felt a stronger urge to wrap my car around a tree than I do with his class. He teaches you the wrong way to do things & explains why it's wrong. He also goes into a 20-30 minute reasoning on how formulas are derived instead of showing you how to use them. I asked for help & he said watch the lecture videos & that was it.

Very caring Professor. Ready to help if you want to help yourself. I took a summer course and he worked with us to make our lives easier. His lectures are available online which I would highly recommend. If you figure out his style (takes 2-3 classes to get used to) you will be fine.

Probably the worst professor I've ever had. He is an extremely tough grader and will find something wrong in every assignment or test you submit. In terms of lectures and finding documents needed for the course, he is the most unorganized professor I've ever heard of. I wouldn't recommend anyone takes him. It's hours of work everyday.
