Comment:

Prof. Allan gives out note sheets every class that outline the chapter. These are helpful and he tells you which questions will be on a quiz. There are a lot of quizzes but if you simply look over material, it's easy 5pts. Tests are hard, but are straight material with nothing we didn't cover. He is a nice guy who loves nature and what he does.

I have not written a review on any professor but after having Professor Allan I felt I had to! His class was hard if you don't put effort into it, but the guy knows his stuff and he cares about the topic. He sometimes comes off as condescending, but he keeps class entertaining. I hate science but his class was my favorite class of the semester.

Comment:

The classes isn't that bad his tests are just pretty difficult. The small quizzes and study guides are what saved my grade so be sure to do all of this, which means attending class.

People are too hard on Prof. Allan. During the semester he seemed arrogant but he really is just proud of where he's been and wants you to get the most out of the class. Near daily 5 pt. quizzes kind of blow but aren't too hard. Some material can be dry but he adds personal stories to almost everything to help.

Comment:

Most infuriating professor I've had. All he talks about is the places he's been that we haven't & the things he knows that we don't. Terry, you've been teaching for 47 years, you SHOULD know all of the Bio 101 material. He'll go in detail about his healthy breakfast (soft boiled eggs) instead of teaching the material. Tests are hard, he's a tool.

Professor Allen was helpful and taught with real world applications to make the class more interesting. There are tests almost every week so make sure you keep up with your readings. He creates study guides, which are really helpful for the tests.

he really is a nice teacher, and personal i thought his personal stories made it less boring he is proud of where he has been and what he has learned. he talks a lot about health and how many american's are obese. but he's doing it because he cares about our health, he's worth taking

Very bad teacher. He is so selfish and always talks about where he has been and no one else has been there. He treats us all like we're stupid and thinks every american is fat. He hates us for drinking out of water bottles and he is purely a nut. His tests are hard but as long as your show up your fine as long as you can stand "annoyingness".

Allen is by far one of the most inconsiderate people you will meet. He tells you to read the book and do worksheets and then never uses the information. He literally tells you "I don't expect you to understand this" as if we are too stupid to understand. He also talks about how americans are fat EVERY LESSON without fail! Stay far far away

Great teacher. He has a great message and explains everything well. Everything he taught applies to your everyday life that you can learn a lot from. He may go off on his tangents, but overall he really cares about his students and if you ask him for advice in or out of the classroom, he is willing to help.

Fairly easy class. Every thing you do comes from the study guides he makes you do. Tests are the only difficult part of the class but they come straight from the study guides so study and you will be fine. Go to class to turn your study guide in and take a small quiz and you shouldn't have any trouble. Also he may be the healthiest old man ever lol

Terry Allan, Doesn't explain anything but his lifestyle and how great and healthy of an old man he is. If there is another biology professor to go to I would advise going to them, his test are preety difficult.

This is the most outrageous and offensive professor that I have ever taken. He is overly condescending and treats college-age students as if we are infants. He wastes your time with pointless study guides and quizzes. He is a professor so that it is guarenteed that people are forced to listen to him. He is the worst teacher I have ever experienced.

He can be offensive to some people at times and he's a little nutty, but has good intentions and wants you to learn and be a better person for it. Horrible class and teacher. He constantly tells you everything he eats and tells you everything wrong with our generation. He preaches constantly and the actual bio part of his class he just speeds through with no room for questions. switch out of his class!!!

The absolute worst teacher I have ever had in my entire life. I really can't stress enough how awful of a man he is. He will not help you outside class, he will not answer your questions in class, and he only talks about how he works out in order to stay "fit" - is that Biology? No. Do not take this man, ever.
