Comment:

Lerch is a great professor and I would definitely recommend taking EGR 251 with him. The class is tough, but he does his best to make sure everyone understands the material. Weekly quizzes that are not very challenging if you pay attention and go to class. A very fair professor that cares a lot about his students.

Comment:

Dr. Lerch is a pretty busy guy as the head of the ET school, but if he ever ends up picking up your class, you lucked out. Can maybe be a little fast, but slides are online and very complete (for 356/358 at least). Good sense of humor, only downside is that because he is so busy, office hours don't really exist - but he'll try to make time for you!

jumps to examples right away.. powerpoints provided are pretty much useless, if you miss class or don't have a buddy that doesn't skip, you will miss out on all examples worked out in class.. I don't see why he can't make the class notes available along with the slides. Tough exams too.

Lerch is a very good professor. He does teach Engineering courses so you can't expect to be graded to easily or breeze through it, but he will help you whenever you need it. I've had him for Statics, Strength of Materials, and Materials lab. He is possibly the best ME teacher at this school!

Comment:

Terry is a great teacher. I enjoyed every 120 class with him. He is very understanding, very fair, and explains things so students can understand them. Examples relating to real-life, and he makes learning fun. I definately reccomend him as a teacher.
