Exams are difficult (textbook heavy) with very little material to help you prepare for them. No PowerPoint, no study guides - you're on your own. You do not get grades for doing discussions posts. literally THE WORST professor EVER! stay away!!! bad bad bad!!! only grades are 4 exams where pretty much everyone fails! i do not understand how he is a professor. absolutely terrible. could care less if his students fail.

Terrible professor, worst I've had. Very arrogant & does not offer help when asked. Grade in the class is based off of 4 exams that aren't even covered in the hefty, jargony material that he assigns. Sends multiple lengthy emails every week & the syllabus is ridiculously long & unnecessary. It is apparent that he does not care about his students

PLEASE RUN. HIGH FAIL RATE! The only way you pass this class if you are a super genius. There is NO WAY you can study for the test. There is so much to read but it does NOT even match the test. No study review is giving and Timothy never gives you a straight answer. He is very rude! . ALL the answers on the test sound Exactly alike. Horrible!!

Worst professor I have ever taken. The syllabus is obnoxiously long and so wordy that it makes it tough to find things and understand them and what ever you ask him, he says refer to the syllabus. For journals he gives complicted directions and is never happy with your work. He tells you to do something different after every entry. DO NOT TAKE!

Egotistical and downright hateful, he makes you feel stupid and like you're wasting his time. Every assignment is accompanied by a long explanation full of bad grammar and run on sentences. I really regret taking his course. RUN from this guy, other professors are so much better.

Everybody here is correct, this guy is awful. He will never give you a straight answer when you ask a question. There is a ton of reading. Participation, as in multiple lengthy posts everyday, is required but doesn't help your grade. His tests are trivial, with questions based upon things we never went over.

Horrible, As a senior double major; this is by far the absolute worst professor ever! I hope some students listen and RUN High fail rate, totally full of himself. his syllabus is ridiculous in length and very wordy. Online class is stated to be no set meet times/days LIE. Tons of work for NO grade,don't do it and he will fail you. RUN DROP RUN

Teacher is nor clear when answering questions from students and inconsistent with expectations. Grading system is terrible and unclear, participation does not always count. Tests include questions that are covered. No help and support for students'success. Never experienced a class with such minimal work provided to students.

This was a very hard class for Minorities in crime online. Berard does not grade for participation and has very hard test. You have to make sure you read before you take the tests. Even when he gives a review he still puts questions on the test that we didn't go over. He needs a f2f class if he wants us to do all this work.

Taking Min. in crime online course.By far the worst professor I have taken in my college career. DONT WALK RUN FROM HIM.I might have to take class again. He Doesn't help or explain things. His exams and term paper are a joke, he randomly throws in questions from material in his mind that we never gone over. Please please dont take him. u will fail.

Berard thinks too highly of himself, doesn't facilitate meaningful dialogue/learning, is vague, unhelpful, & uninspiring. Finals are next week and I still haven't received grades for all my prior work. Final is only exam in the course and his only advice is that it'll be hard so review ALL prior readings/work and guess at what will be included.

I wanted to take a course he taught but I am glad it never got that far. I sent him an email asking about the class and, because he felt the email was not formal enough for his status as a professor, he not only did not help me he made it a point to be rude and condescending. I've never experienced this with another professor in any subject. Run!
