Tom was a wonderful professor, and gave me a huge hope that future professors or mine could be atleast half as good as he was. He was very helpful, really wanted you to succeed and gave you all of the materials you need for said success and laid out everything in a clear and concise manner. An absolute gem.

Awesome professor and an amazing class. I would absolutely recommend anyone who can take this class to do so. Prof. Sparhawk is hilarious, responds to emails very quickly, and overall is very helpful. There is a fair amount of writing involved in this class(1000 words per week) but it's split up in such a way to be pretty easy.

In this course be prepared to read but thats the hardest part. You do have to answer discussion questions each week a minimum of 500 words and a response to 5 a minimum of 100 words. This course was very well planned and you will not be surprised with extra work. He does a great job and I would recommend anyone to take his course or other courses.

there are papers all the time but they are only one page papers, like he literally does not want more or he will take off. I learned so much in this class honestly I would take it again easy. Attendance is important but he gives you 10 free days!

Very enlightening course and effective instructor. Only prof at CVCC with a reasonable attendance policy: If you're able to skip class and earn a 95A, you'll end up with a 90A. You can even make missed classes up with audio recordings! But you won't want to skip class much, lectures are a pleasure. Has a useful grading chart I wish all profs had.

Sparhawk is beyond amazing. So nice and funny! I found the subject boring but he made it enjoyable. His short projects are an easy 100 if you follow the rubric. I averaged a B on the tests but I barely studied. I recommend reading the chapter summaries because the text is pretty long. Offers large extra credit near the end. Recommended big time!!

He is a great professor. He is well organized and has all lectures and notes posted online, so go print off the notes and bring them to class so that you can add additional notes. He grades projects very lenient. If you pay attention, take notes, and turn your projects in on time this is an easy A.

Highly recommended!! Take class on campus if you can. Loads of fun during his lectures. Assignments are straightforward. He provides more than sufficient resources to be successful (Ppoint notes, lecture recordings) Takes notes/turn things in on time/listen and you will pass (probably with an A). A+ attendance policy. Super funny guy. LOVES COOKIES. always talking about sex, drugs, women. his tests are kind of hard. written projects are an easy A as long as you complete them on time. He doesnt care about attendance and lets you skip 5 classes with no penalty. Gives an extra credit project at the end of the semester! TAKE HIM!!!

Very interesting teachers. Really tries to convey the information in ways that everyone could understand & get. Goes right out of the book. & provides outlines & study guides for each chapter. Always joking & keeping things light hearted. Requires 1 page essays every month but they are all opinion based & extremely easy. I recommend taking this!!!
