She is not a fan of the subject she teaches. Classroom discussion is rarely relevant. This professor is more interested in pursuits that are less than academic. In these discussions, both private and public, she readily encourages students to violate their ethics. Before taking this professor, a sit-in would be best before committing to a mistake.

Comment:

She's a great teacher, don't believe all the hate. I had her for comp 1, and yes, there is a lot of work and at least one essay draft per class. However, she makes the class insanely fun and interesting. She promotes class discussions. Every paper gets peer edited and edited by her before the final submission. My favorite teach thus far. Take her!

This class was okay. She is available to help you edit your papers which is nice, but as many times as I went to her, I still didn't get an A. Highest grade she gave to the whole class, which I got, was a B+. That kinda sucked but if you don't care then take the class

Had her for CCI. Class is usually very fun and you'll have good discussions and shes one of the nicest teachers ever. But she is the harshest grader! She never gave anyone her than a B+ on their final drafts and when it came to the portfolio she basically gave everyone a B or lower and a few people got B+'s. Very strict grader but nice teacher!

She was overall a very nice and helpful professor. She's a tough grader so be prepared for some heavy critism on your work. I thought I was a good writer after this class though it left me doubting that.

She is very nice, funny and helpful lady. She make you edit your essay 3 times before she grade, so most all the time you just get A in all the essays. She just gave us 5 essays to write in the whole semister from which she is going to take 4 best grades. If you have any problem talk to her she gave my full credit on all my late work.i recomnet her

we had some extremely interesting class discussions, but they had little or nothing to do with the essays. the other teacher who graded portfolios was a lot more strict, but this teacher tried to be fair, and she's soooo funny. i'd recommend her, she'd gladly help anyone if they ask for it.

good teacher. lots of writing but hey its a writing course. she is very nice and has a good sense of humor. i learned a lot from her. only flaw was when i turned my portfolio in the other teacher who helped grade it didnt like my writing and gave me a C+ when it should have been at least a B.

i had her for two semesters in CCI & II. seriously if you do your work you'll get an A. a little boring during lectures, but you can tell she loves what she's doing and she's trying to make it easy for you. she's very straight forward and again she expects you to do your work and if you do it you'll get that A.

Very good teacher, extremely nice, does what she does very well. Classes were very fun to go to, and she is lienient if you have trouble handing in work on time (if you are truthfull in your reason why). Very highly reccomended.

Not a bad teacher. I'm an okay write and got an A-. Sometimes she doesn't realize if you don't hand things in. Class does get boring and she's hard to talk to before or after class because she doesn't really have an office. Not bad though.

Great teacher. I thoroughly enjoy her class and actually look forward to going to it. I can't say that more many of my classes. She has good methods of teaching and goes out of her way to make sure everyone understands the material. I would highly recommend her.
