I took this class online as an 8 weeks course.I think she very nice. I had an issue with submitting an exam and she was very understanding. She has a grading rubric USE IT!!!! This is what helped me get through the class. I hate English. I received a B on the exam but due to the writing assignments I received a C in the class.

Ms. V is GREAT. I took her class online and still she remained approachable and helpful. She is very consistent. She communicates effectively and efficiently. Her "strict grading" is a part of the nature of the class - it is technically focused. I'd love to have Ms. V in a seated class, but she's great online, too! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I took this class online, and it kept me involved. She has high expectations, but she is clear about them. She is prompt in answering questions by email or on the discussion board. She wants to teach, as opposed to other online instructors who go through the motions.

I really like Mrs. V's class. I've heard some student grumble about the class. But, the class is literary analysis. If you don't like to analyze lit, do not take this class. She's a great teacher and she loves when we ask her advice about what we can do better. She doesn't bite. She wants to help her students.

I had heard she was a tough teacher who gave out alot of work. True the workload was heavy, but it is doable and she was always there to answer questions. I had a family emergency and she did work with me so I can turn in my late assignments. She is a great teacher!

I agree with a previous post. Do no take this online! I was in my third week & dropped this class(ENG 114). I used to love english til I got in this class. She's very picky, even when it comes to the discussion board, & the workload is crazy. She takes nothing else into consideration. Beware!

I am taking 4 online classes, this one included. I want to teach English so this was right up my alley. This is a very informative class and I feel very prepared for my next english class. There is a big work load but the teacher is helpful, responds quickly, and gives critiques. If your plan is to learn this class will benefit you.I enjoyed it!

DO NOT take this class online. I do not know how she is in a classroom, but she is a very picky grader and gives out an incredible workload and reading assignments on top of weekly essays. I loved english in high school so I was very opptomistic about her class, but she was not very helpful and expects everyone to be novelists.

ENG111 online, It was awful. She gave out a ridiculous amount of homework on top of the weekly essays. She was no help and grades really hard. She takes off so many points for small errors and doesn't nearly give enough time for all the work. I really enjoyed english before this class but not anymore. Avoid her at all costs if you want to pass.

Horribly disorganized, and while helpful, insulting in their help. It was an online class, I have taken several before, and this one was just... horrible, I cannot express that enough. I couldn't even find where it was posted the explanation for half the assignments.

I liked her a lot. It is a lot of work but the way I looked at it was if you really screwed up it wouldnt matter much bc of the work load. I was generally easy work and seemed like busy work but it def paid off in the end. Any help you need ... shell do all she can. She doesnt grade too tough. I was suprised I liked her so much!
