Dr. Benigni is a good person and means well. When it comes to papers and projects however he is a very tough grader. When he gives you feedback he practically rewrites everything his way and he is not afraid to tell you did something wrong. He is helpful when you get him one on one and appreciates when people go out of their way for help.

Dr. B had fairly nice lectures. I took his class online so it was very obviously lecture heavy. I thought I retained the lectures and my notes pretty well until I took the quizzes and exams. Everything is timed and it's very anxiety inducing. He curves tests occasionally by a few points, but there are lots of tricky questions that make you think.

Dr. Benigni is a nice person but his tests are extremely difficult. I typically make study guides for exams. After making long and detailed study guides for his class, I still am only making C's on the exams. His lectures are confusing which makes his tests even more challenging. I would recommend not taking him if possible.

Terrible. MEGA specific tests and quizzes so if you don't know EVERYTHING then you will fail. Lots of trick questions on tests and quizzes so you better absorb everything he gives you. Grades super hard on papers, so if you're lucky you might get a B- on essays (coming from someone who gets A's on essays). If possible AT ALL, take someone else.

Really nice, passionate about sports and COMM. He throws the Powerpoint up on the board and talks, you take notes, theres a few tests, lots of quizzes, and thats the class. Anything from the Powerpoint, what he says, any examples, links, or videos are all fair game on the test. Very detailed and heavy content lectures which is the hard part.

Dr. B is a fine teacher. He cares and tries to be interesting. It is all lectures, so can get a little dull, but is very easy. 10 pop quizes, 5 on CNN and 5 on reading. Not really pop though because he gives "hints." This is why it is important to go to class. Know all the links. 3 tests, and are so easy with the study guides. All MC. No final.

I wish I would not have taken this course. Dr. Benigni's lectures are hard to follow and his tests are worded AWFULLY. lots of pop quizzes about current events or specifically whatever CNN covers.

The hardest professor my freshman year. There's frequent quizzes which are not easy, and the exams are extremely difficult. There's lots of trick questions and you must know the material 100% to even think about getting above a C. I find myself having to teach myself the information because he talks so quickly during lectures. Would not take again.

Dr. Benigni grades tough, and his test have a lot of trick questions, but he will work with you. Very quick to respond to emails and help. If you have a knack for Comm his class will be easy, but if not he'll make you work for it. A lot of over the top papers for a lower level Comm class--don't take unless you have time.

He's tough but willing to work with students. Unless you are extremely passionate about Strat Comm, I wouldn't recommend him. As long as you do your readings the quizzes will be easy and he gives helpful study guides. However, the tests are extremely difficult and have a lot of trick questions so you really have to know the material.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR FOR ANY CLASS!!!!! His quizzes are ridiculous and he enjoys flexing his sports knowledge muscles, and every opinion you offer to the class will be wrong in his books, and he will talk over you and say what he wants to hear. Just not a good teacher- does not inspire students

He is incredibly passionate about sports, whihc is what he teaches, and therefore any opinion you may have about sports that does not align with his opinions are seen as wrong. His assignments are crazy specific, with meticulous instructions, and a long list of things you cannot do- then when you get the paper back he is mad you didnt do more.

I had him for an online class, so I only experienced his teaching style as opposed to his personality. He doesn't outline expectations well and many of his assignments require further explanation. The quizzes are impossible with 8 in-depth analytical questions to complete in 6 minutes. You will be drenched in sweat by the end of that quiz.

He is super entertaining and knowledgeable. You can print notes before class which is super helpful. Go to class and take notes on the links he shows, do the study guides, and prepare for the super easy quizzes. He drops 3 quizzes and gives extra credit opportunities. The study guides tell you everything on the test, do it and you'll get an A.

Dr. B. is one of my favorite professors at the College! He is incredibly passionate about media and keeps this class exciting every day. He talks about subjects that are both relevant and interesting to students like sports teams and politics. I rarely skipped class because I enjoyed being in attendance!

Way too hard of a teacher for COMM 214, don't take unless you want to major in it, and his tests are impossible, don't expect to get an A

I love Dr.B! He is so nice and funny. His lectures are long but the information is interesting stuff and he keeps it fun with lots of videos and pictures added into his slides. Super easy weekly quizzes but the tests are pretty tough. Just make sure to take good notes and do the study guide. Overall a good class, i would take him again.

Cool guy. Obviously knows what he's doing, very good lecturer. Sometimes hard to keep up with his expectations, but the subject matter was fun & interesting. Get into the habit of religiously checking CNN for quizzes as well as reading the very long assigned articles. Tests and notes are dense, but his study guides will save you (if you do them).

The class is a fun look into the history of media and pop culture, which is definitely good stuff to know if you're a Comm major. If you just take a little effort and apply yourself in his class, you will do fine. Dr. Benigni is really helpful and just wants his students to succeed.
