I could not imagine taking International Tax with any other professors. Prof. Shaw explains everything so well that you do not need to memorize anything. His test is never a surprise since he will tell you exactly what topics to focus. He makes studying tax so much fun.

I took prof. Shaw for three Tax classes, and I would say I have learned so much in his class both financial accounting and tax. He is definitely the nicest professor at Cox. He will let you know exactly what will be tested and walk you through problems in class and in the review session untill you know how to do them yourself.

Have taken him for undergrad and grad school. He is very straight forward and teaches you well. Uses financial statements to help you understand. Lots of real world experience so knows what he's talking about. Great person, too. Understanding that we have other classes. Makes it obvious what he wants you to learn out of the class and for the exams.

I love Shaw, he is hands down one of the top professors at SMU. Very approachable never makes you feel stupid, and actually knows what he's talking about. He has a lot of real world experience so he teaches you what you need to know and is relevant. He's a great professor, very intelligent and cares about the wellbeing and future of his students
