Your grade is based on all 4 tests. HWs are easy. Exam Reviews somewhat prep you for the exams, and are similar to the tests, but make sure you know the content well. Test are only 13ish questions, and are open response (not multiple choice). Hard tests, and you can't afford to miss any because of how few questions. No extra cred or test correction

Took her online course. Grade is all on the 4 tests she provides. No cushions (except she'll curve grade). No Extra Cred or Test Corrections. You can do well, but have to work hard.

Took this class online. There wasn't a lot of homework, however, it was really difficult because (unless mine were broken) the teacher did not have videos on how to do the problem/lessons in general. 90% of the time it was read the textbook and hope for the best. Of course, the program needed was expensive as well but it is Math.

Ya Li is a great professor and I hope I am able to take a class from her again! Her lectures are fast paced but she does a lot of examples which helped me learn a lot. Her tests are fair and the homework (though due for every section) isn't too much to handle. She helped me learn the subject very well and she can even be pretty funny!

all you have to do is online homework monthly, 9-15 questions per section, total of 8 sections per month. No brain is needed since there is guideline to help, you have a month to do it! 4 exams and 1 final, all you need to do is study the exam review, no way you can't have decent grade. You complaint because you didnt put little effort, admit it.

Unfortunately she is not a very good professor. She is the worst one I have had during my 3 years at UVU. I would highly recommend that you take math from a different professor.

The course I took was an online course. I will say that I worked very hard for this grade, but learned a great deal, and found in the end that she was a fair, but hard grader. This is not a class you can coast through. She is approachable, and will respond to emails.

Huge work load, don't take this professor unless you either already know the material or you have no other classes. First few tests are scheduled fine, and then you get an avalanche of math homework to do in the last 3 weeks of the semester.

She uses MyMathLab. Easy homework but you must study it. She posts reviews for practice before the test. Four exams and a comprehensive final. She will meet with you during office hours. Her grading is tough. On exams, you must show your work. She's flexible with test dates and will work with you.

Ya Li is an amazing teacher and I loved her when I took Calc 3 from her. She's caring and wants to know if you are passing or not. Her accent takes a little while to get used to but, it's easy to understand her if you stick with the class. She goes over little details while your learning and is super nice.

I took this class online. Professor Li only inputs six grades this whole semester. four of which are exams, one being the final, and the last, an overall homework grade. She doesn't actually teach anything, just gives you the link to the homework and you have to read the texbook and figure it out. The tests are extremely hard!

Professor Li does have an accent, however, the math does not have any sort of accent, so that can't be an excuse to do poorly. She has homework due online which is really easy with the online homework assistance if needed. You can take home the daily quizzes no reason not to get 5/5. Tests are EXACTLY like the reviews, do well on those, get an A.

Ya Li is a great teacher. She teaches simply and slowly. If you just give an attempt on a problem, you will receive credit for it. The final was take home, not sure if that's normal. No extra credit or curve. Very limited homework problems.

Hard to follow what she is doing on the board. She does problems students ask for help on by doing them in a way I think as if she was doing them for herself but with quick and minimal narration of the steps.

For upper division math classes she is great. One of the easiest graders and is really understanding of difficult circumstances. After being in the class for a day you get used to her accent. I was hesitant to take her because of the reviews I had seen, but she has been a great teacher this semester.

I took Ya Li for Math 2280 and Math 3310 and I really liked her for both. This was one of her first times teaching 3310 which was nice because she would learn with us and understood how hard the material was. She was great for 2280 because if you didn't remember something from a previous math class she covered it again. Got tests back very fast.

Unwilling to help when I asked for it. In fact, she thought if I needed help, I shouldn't be in her class. Super thick accent and talks fast, unwilling to repeat herself. Is easily frustrated, treats you like a child. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone.

She is not good explaining exercises in class, she only repeat on the blackboard the same exercises of book. It is not easy understand especially because when she writes is not so order. Give you a lot homework, quizzes or tests every day. It is too much stress with her. I got a good score, but it was not for her help. Moreover, she is kind.

Seriously, just don't take a class from her. Even if it fits your class schedule you are better off finding another math class in a later semester. The class is a major headache. My biggest problem with her was when she was stumped or couldn't answer a question she would just move on and hope no one noticed or would blame it on the system.

She would be a great teacher for higher levels of math because she expects you to know all terminology and equations. When you ask for help, she doesn't give clear instructions for you to solve the equations. Most people do receive a B- or lower on her tests. Also, expect the tests to be hard, because they aren't always like her quizzes.
