He's a great professor, the course material is difficult however he does an amazing job in explaining the concepts. He makes sure that everyone is on the same page and is always available during office hours. If you attend all the classes you should have no trouble passing. Great professor, explains concepts well, cares for his students.

Useless. Read the book, do the problems at back of book. Cross your fingers that the options of answers are not as difficult to choose from as the problem itself. Total joke. Good luck. This guy takes the passion out of EE.

I enjoyed this class. The professor was very clear in his lectures and went out of his way to explain the theories behind each concept (the 'why'). Yes, theory can get boring at times, but it really helps in understanding. Do the homework and ask for help if needed (He's willing to answer any questions), and you'll do fine in his class. Lectures were useless, started only going on mondays just to turn in homework. Had to teach myself everything. Two quizzes 5% each, midterm 30%, final 60%. only good thing was almost every test problem was an exact homework problem

This professor is not helpful at all. His lectures do not make sense and he doesn't answer students' questions. The homework is also always more complicated than the lecture material. The only good thing is the test questions are exactly the same as the homework problems.

Homework assigned from book (25%), one midterm (25%), one final (50%). Grading is very inaccurate; make sure to double check and get grades corrected when needed. The instructor covers material at a painfully slow rate. Examples in class are useless (he draws the circuit, sometimes writes an equation, and then directly gives the answer).

This class is awful. He just goes over the powerpoint that he copied and pasted from the book. He gives tons of homework. His exams almost all come directly from homework. But, he chooses the hard ones. I recommend on tests, even if you don't have a clue, to write everything you possibly can. He will give you a lot of credit just for writing stuff.

Do not be discouraged if you bonb his tests. If you put in the time and then do good on the final, he is willing to give you a fair final grade. On the other hand, if you do really good on the test, he will sometimes let you skip the final. My best advise is to do the homework until you get it. The problems on the test will be extremely similar

Jiang is a good professor, he is easy to understand and nice to the students. He makes himself available to help with questions. This course is a challenge, I dont think you will find any professor at UNLV that will give an easy A here, so be prepaired to spend a fair amount of time on this.

He is a terrible prof. He doesn't teach the material well, isn't clear about what he's asking in HWs or tests (esp. in VLSI), and is really rude. Even if you answer 99% of the questions he asks in class correctly, he'll laugh at you if you get one wrong. He is HORRIBLE.
