Comment:

Nice guy, but he's not the best teacher. His slides are very jumbled and crowded so it can get confusing, he also speaks very low and fast at times. He gives intense homework before every test, 1 homework will tell you it takes an average of 3 hours to do online. If you talk to him he'll try to pass you, but in the end, it's your test that count.

I loved Hecht's lectures. His test questions came right from his notes. Explained everything clearly. Offers extra credit assignments for up to 10 points. Very nice. Will let class out early some days if you finish a chapter early. Is a bit soft spoken especially when he is sick so pay attention to what he says.

Dr. Hecht Is an amazing professor. His lectures are interesting and he truly cares for his students. As long as you put the effort in, It isn't hard to do well in his class. He tells you what pictures will be on the quizzes and prepares you fully for both practicals. He is one of the best professors I have had.I would not hesitate to take him again

Great professor and a great person! He does his lecture, and then pay attention to what you do in lab and he'll let you go early. His practicals are straightforward but lengthy, and be aware of the weekly quizzes. One of the best lab professors at Post!

Great Professor who really is there to help his students and make sure they get a good grade. Best professor by far I've had through my first two years of college. Would take him again if i could. Great guy, great teacher, especially in a bio department that is poorly run. Make sure you have him.

Dr. Hecht is great! He really cares about his students. His lectures before lab are little long, but they really help reinforce what you learn in lecture. Quizzes, midterm and final are about 70 questions long. As long as you study the pictures in the lab book you will pass. He is always willing to answer questions. Go to class and study!!

I took summer session with him. I took this course at my home school and failed. Dr. Hecht made it extremely easy and interesting. He wants everyone to do well and genuinely enjoys teaching! Highly recommend him!

i LOVED dr. hecht, he was my favorite. he was sure to answer every single question and make sure everybody understood EVERYTHING (even in a giant lecture class) he makes everything very interesting, you can tell he loves what he does. he made waking up at 6am every other day WORTH IT! just all together wonderful!

he is the best professor. please take him if it fits in ur schedule. he helps in many ways. he makes lab lecture fun. he does not want anyone to fail. HE IS QUITE UNDERSTANDING IF U EXPLAIN THE SITUATION CLEARLY. WHAT A COOL PROFESSOR !!!
