Alumni here. While I had a lovely time at LSC, Dr. Strokanov tends to only test on what he says is right and not applying thought or independent knowledge. Its a typical memorize and regurgitate. While entertaining, not thought provoking. Easy A.

Dr. Strokanov was awesome. He was very interactive, and had very good feedback as went through material. I liked the historical study so much that I accompanied several students lead by Dr. Strokanov to Russia. We learned material that I have come to see as profound due to Dr. Strokanov making the curricula relavant.

Former Strokanov student. Pretty much took everything. Favorite was his Islam class. His classes are easy as long as you regurgitate everything he says. Every class has a geography quiz and a paper which he half reads. Just memorize everything he says and re-write it. Easy A

As a college alumni from lsc I look back at what I studied at that college. Strokanov was one of the few worthwhile professors there, along with the rest of the social science Dept. (Which I hear is diminishing...) he may not be an easy professor but I never received anything lower than an A- in any of his classes. He was my thesis advisor.

Dr. Strokanov was my advisor at LSC before I transferred, so I always ended up taking a few of his classes a semester. He is excellent, very very intelligent, with a world of experience behind him.. One of the smartest men I have met, he sadly deserves better than LSC..
