Attend his review days prior to exams. Sit and listen to every word he says. For example if says make sure you understand angular momentum study that material until you can work the problems with your eyes closed. Trying to work every single problem in the book is not the most productive way to approach Engin's exams.Break the problems apart.

Professor Engin is a hoot! One thing I'll miss most from his class is his jokes. You must study if you want to pass his class. Don't worry if your grades are bad, he scales a lot! Old exams help, but only if the test was taken by someone using the same edition as you. All exam questions come from the book. Don't be fooled he's very approachable.

Comment:

I had heard horror stories of this class being hard. I studied hard to get the grade I did. It was not a cake walk but with perseverance it is possible to do well. He is somewhat hard to approach at first but give him time to warm up to you. He is very arrogant at times but it hilarious nonetheless. I highly recommend him as a teacher.

As everyone has said he is very arrogant. He tries to intimidate you at the beginning of the semester. Anyone can do good in his class. Just do the homework and put as many homework problems on the board as possible and you will almost certainly pass his class. His test are very fair.

He always talks about he should be teaching at a better University and gives us tests as if we're already PE. He says he doesnt feel like teaching anymore, but says its better than staying at home. You must study a lot to make a decent grade or else you'll do bad. If you ask him for help, he gives you really short answers and makes you feeldum

He is very very smart. He might come off intimadating, but he's really a nice guy. you need to study a lot for his class and he is willing to help you. If you study hard and speak loud so he can hear, you will do good

He's def a very smart and interesting man. Like most courses the lecture seems easy, but assigned problems take at least an hour to do a couple problems. Tests are pretty hard, but i luckily scored avg. or above on all, so did decent in the class. I would recommend another proff. but you can survive his class if you put in the effort.
