It is not easy to rate this professor. He uses powerpoint a lot, and does not cover necessary material good enough. . But if you will come to his office for help he will spend time with you and help. And tests are over the book, just read it, come to class and you will have good grade. I DO recomend him to those who are OK with reading book.

Basically you do not need to retain anything from class, but you should attend because he takes attendance. Bring something to do during class because he will stay on one topic for a LONG time. Study completely from the book and you'll be fine.

Maxwell was nothing but trouble for me this semester. He tries to make his lectures fun but usually fails. He does not post grades and rarely returns emails. The tests are mainly over the book and tend to be very difficult. I would not recommend him to anyone I know.

I would not suggest taking this class. It's fun if you have a friend take it with you and you want a good laugh, but that is about it. I didn't learn anything that I didn't know before. You have three exams, the final, and 3 research participations that count toward your grade, that's all. One mess up ruins you. Good news: he curves.

tries his hardest to make class fun by cracking jokes of himself, telling funny stories, short vids, etc. not necessary to attend class. his tests are based on the book..so READ it. if you understand the book, you'll easily pass the test. take time to visit him; hes great to talk to and willing to help you study/ask you questions that maybe on test

This teacher should no longer be teacher. He stumbles through words trying to figure out what he's trying to say. He spends half the class trying to figure out the computer and how to work the slides in powerpoint, and when it comes to tests there is absolutely no review or study guide. He is no help at all. Do NOT take this teacher!

Get on his good side, and read the text book. I did these two things and the class was a very easy A, but my classmates who never read or came to class suffered. Ask a lot of questions. The tests are straight from the text -- the word-for-word essays are answered in "section review" (or whatever they're called) parts in the book.

Very strange individual. Somewhat humerous. Sometimes lectures are downright bizarre. They usually consist of long tangents and textbook publisher created PowerPoints of the figures in thebook with uninteresting or unreleated commentary. Tests are insanely difficult and barely relate to lecture and textbook material. He is willing to help outside.

He is the department head. If at all possible, avoid him. He is very confusing. He does email the lecture notes, but sometimes not until right before the test. Sometimes he forgets what he is doing. The tests are hard, 50 multiple choice, two or three essay questions and definitions. He does curve, but usually one score pretty high, so doesn't help

He's the dept. head, so I expected him to be a bad professor. He surprised me. He was serious, but interesting and helpful.
