Professor Oren is a very passionate about his work. However, he doesn't really know how to work with technology. This was a problem since he was teaching ELECTRIC media writing to students. However, Professor Oren knows what he is talking about. Students just need to be able to teach themselves formatting for papers.

I've taken him a few times. Smart guy who was a successful movie critic of USA Today for years so he's a good connection to have but he keeps you all 3 hours and is definitely big on lecturing.

Very clear professor. It sounds like he's reciting from a textbook, not to imply it's boring just that he says as much as he needs to and nothing else. On average he has maybe two tests and a few in-class assignments. Just pay attention and you'll do fine, he has a lot of experience.

Professor Oren is a pretty good professor. He gave us a lot of freedom when it came to the speeches, which was pretty cool. He is, however, pretty strict with attendance. If there's a speech due one day, make sure you're in class or have a doctors note, otherwise you're in trouble.

It's because of Professor Oren that I decided to become a Journalism major. He's a great professor- honest, genuine and down to earth. There's a lot of room for creativity in his assignments which I really liked and which I think he seems to appreciate. Has a seriously abnormal ability to detect plagiarism so don't even try.

He's pretty fair. Was a little upset because I purchased the book and we used it in total like two times. The class was interesting. He was a little late to his classes but was an overall okay class.

I have basically taken every class this guy teaches. There is hardly ever homework but he makes it up with projects. NEVER hand in work late...that's his main thing and he NEVER responds to emails...otherwise he is a nice guy

he's a nice guy and never keeps you the full class time but, he can get annoying after a while. the tests are nothing like he tells you they are gonna be, info that you dont you have to kno u do. he's not a bad person, just not the greatest prof of all time

I was sitting behind the guy who posted that he calls on you too much, and it's funny because he was a lazy bum. All he does is give one simple five minute task to get done over the course of 15 minutes, and some students are too lazy to get anything done. Especially this kid, he does nothing. I've had Professor Oren for 4 classes. I find his classes to be interesting, informative and pretty easy. He's my favorite professor. Comes late and you almost always get out early. He knows when enough is enough. I strongly recommend him!
