Dr. Phan is an excellent teacher and professor. He is enthusiastic about the subjects and makes his own lecture notes for you to use (and they are good). Anyone who talks bad about Dr. Phan is a fool. He's definitely among the best in the ME dept. Do what ever you can to get classes with him.

Dr. Phan rocks! He makes difficult concepts easy to understand and his tests are reasonable. Overall I enjoyed and learned as I expected in his class.

If you can't get an 'A' out of this guys class then you must have done something wrong. Sure we all like good grades, but did I ever enjoy his class well no. Like the others say he is very nice and extremely helpful, but his powerpoint lecture just isn't happening. Sometimes I deserved and wanted my 60 because I earned it, but he always gives A's.

Really nice guy, and easy grader. If the whole class is struggling he is more that willing to compromise. Show up everyday do the assigned homework right or wrong and you will probably get an A no matter what you make on the tests.
