Prof. Nurse lectures A LOT, so you want to be in every class! Yet, she is an amazing professor and overall great woman. You want to go to her office hours and get to know her. She also prepares you for your IS with a semester long research project. Overall, awesome woman!

Comment:

Love Dr. Nurse!!! She is one of the reasons I fell in love with sociology. She is extremely well-organized and fair. Always willing to help if you don't understand something. Obviously passionate about the material. Attendance is not always mandatory, but by skipping you only hurt yourself. Super funny and kind. So lucky to have her as my advisor.

Nurse seems laid back but really cares about students and is an incredible teacher. She really values class discussion but also gives lots of essays and projects, though she makes sure each student gets good feedback to improve. There is not another professor that I trust or respect as much on campus; I feel like I can talk to her about anything.

I took this class back in 2011 And she is honestly one of the few professors that has made such an impression of my life that I felt the need to comment on her. She is understanding intelligent and honest. If you have the chance to take her class you need too . She is nothing short of amaszing.

Prof. Nurse is awesome! She is very clear and engaging. She is really interested in what you have to say and is respectful of everyones opinions. That being said students often complain that she grades pretty harshly. Definitely take a class with her if you can.

At first I wasn't so thrilled about needing to get a "Q" credit out of the way, but I knew this professor's teaching style from previous courses, so I decided to take her course this semester. She always made time for me outside of class, even when she didn't really have the time.
