I had Marsoobian my first semester freshman year for Honors 150, and it was definitely challenging. But, he is great. He happened to be my advisor too, and he is amazing to talk to. Incredibly smart and caring. His work is hard and long, and don't ever cut corners. It may not seem like he notices but he does. There is in-class writings every day.

Dr. Marsoobian was THE most difficult professor I've ever encountered in terms of personality and teaching style. The course was tolerable and the material was profound, but Marsoobian is a character. Late is an absence, 200+ pages of reading material a weekend, sometimes serves personal insults, dry lectures and class discussions, & a narcissist.

Definitely a great guy who genuinely cares about state of affairs. He will appreciate you as long as you give all of your effort, read all of the texts, and come to class with something to say. He will definitely prove all of your points wrong with a smile but you will just continue to do better! If you care about your grade go visit office hour

Everyone has their opinions, so I don't flaunt this as absolute truth. Having had him twice, it has been my experience that once he knows you are invested in working hard, and are patient with his unintentional aloofness at times,he really warms up and takes a liking to you. Believe it or not, he is really helpful, very funny, and looked out for me.

Prof. Marsoobian is awesome. He's extremely knowledgeable in his field and will gladly go on about any subject you care to talk about, this guy knows it all. That being said, get ready to work your ass off. 95% of INQ classes are jokes, but this one will prepare you for writing at a college level. It's not all busy work, because it will help you!

This professor does have a lot of knowledge about the topic. He tells you one thing than expects another.Hard to stay awake. He will let you go the whole semester knowing you are failing then at the end he'll tell you there's nothing that will save you. Overall i wouldn't recommend taking him unless you are willing to talk throughout the whole class

A REALLY hard teacher! He's a sweet guy outside of class, easy to talk to, helpful. HOWEVER...his classes are HARD!!! Reading is MANDATORY, he has you write short essays 2 times a week, and an in class response to the reading. He grades really hard, but i would definitely say that all the writing helped my writing. was worth it, eh....

I would like to redact my George Clooney statement. He is more like a Brad Pitt. Extremly smart with the body of Zeus, and strength of a thousand horses...deliciously delightful..like a sprinkled cupcake, or a glass of lemonade on a hot summer day. His silvery white hair reminds me of a winter morning frost. I could make snow angel in that all day.

I had Marsoobian for an Inquiry class, I couldn't choose him as a professor because he was automatically assigned to me. If i knew how this class was i would have run far, far away and not looked back. He is an unfair grader, THE most close-minded, arrogant teacher I've ever had, and he always has to be right, even when you're asked your opinion!

oh marsooob...LOVES busywork, but is also very interested in discussions of the text. You must read...or else you will fail. Hard grader, but overall pretty fair. Arrogant exterior, but inside is just a sweet little philosopher. Very smart, but not a people person. If your a slacker, might as well quite now.

Marsoobian is a poor excuse for a professor. He fumbles through his lectures like a thirteen year old boy fumbling at his girlfriend's training bra. He thinks he is always right and will argue with you even over things that are matters of opinion. He is a know-it-all--very rude and disrespectful. You can't tell him anything-he's right.

Had him for Honors "Language of Art," the subject matter changes every time. I felt he was an arrogant, biased jerk, but won't quibble that he knows his stuff.

Its true that he's a tough grader and seems arrogant at first, but he's really a good guy. He DOES know what he's talkin about, and as long as you're willing to GO to him for help, he's willing to give it. He seems scary at first, no doubt about that, but in reality, he's a very good teacher once you get used to his ways.

Marsoobian is by far my favorite teacher at southern. his class was stimulating and challenging and really fun. this is, however, NOT an easy-A course. the material is complicated and it involves a fair amount of commitment. But here's THE SECRET to acing this class: the book comes with a CD that narrates every chapter. USE IT!!!

Marsoobian knows his stuff and is reasonably good at teaching. He's always willing to spend time out of class to help. Sometimes it's hard for him to understand what students are confused about and so he'll answer a question badly. He likes communitarian values so throw capitalist arguments athim
