I really don't understand why people are complaining. I took her class, did my papers literally 30 minutes before the class, and I got a 96. She's easy and a very sweet lady. It's basic review, but you have to take the class to graduate. Not hard at all.

First of all, I am an English major. I dropped Ms. Sam's class after midterm with an "A" a year ago because I was vegetating. Considered a school transfer if this was all EKU's English dept had to offer. She cannot spell (rather important given the subject matter) and has a terrible time understanding the concept of metaphor. Worthless instructor.

Uhg, i was never happier to get out of a class! this class is boring and useless. my ap high school english classes were rediculously above this level! impossible to get a perfect score - even once she has proofread it! i'm not sure how i got an A.

Overall, I love Ms. Sam I think the world of her not only as a teacher but as my friend, because she is there for you regardless. She will help you in the best way she knows how and can. I think she is a wonderful person and very easy going in her English course

When you are in her class, time slows down. It is the most boring class i have ever taken. The work never stops, and it is impossible to get a perfect score on anything!!!!!

She isn't the brightest teacher but it works out to your advantage. She can't spell so she doesn't know when you make a mistake. Classes are long and boring and so are the assignments but she grades them fairly easily and doesn't give too much work.

She did make you write a lot of papers but she gave you time to do them. She gave constructive critism and never put anyone down. As long as you were prepared for class, she was a very good teacher.
