Amazing professor. Incredibly knowledgeable. Really cares about his students and makes his high level of linguistic knowledge understandable for every student. 10/10 recommend taking any class Professor Hary has to offer.

Professor Hary is amazing. I had him for a Freshmen Seminar on Israel and it was very interesting. We watched many films (both in and out of class) to aid his lectures. Overall, a great class. There is a lot of assigned reading, but you honestly never have to do it. It is easy to get an A. You just do 2 journals a week+ study 2 hours for 2 quizzes.

Great professor! Cares about his students, passionate about the material, very available if you have questions. I took this class first semester freshman year and it was a great first impression. Put in a regular amount of effort for an A; he's pretty lenient.

Beny is a lot of fun and really cares about his students. He's the kind of teacher who will move an assignment if you have another exam coming up. He expects a lot of you, but is super understanding.

I had this professor for Freshmen Seminar course, which is one of Emory's GER. This course was called "Current Issues in Israel" and it was extremely easy A. I barely spent any time studying for his test(two hours max) and rushed through my 10 page final paper(wrote 9 page, so it was below req) and still got A. Highly recommend this professor.

I really enjoyed Professor Hary. His teaching style is demanding but always entertaing and engaging. He teaches courses at a graduate level and it shows. Though he's not above being petty, he's an overall great teacher. Highly recommended.

European Sephardi Jewish Culture is the absolute best summer course you can take at Emory, hands down. Don't ask any questions, just sign up for it, unless you are a senior.

I did not like this class at all. Very boring topic unless you are throughly interested in linguistics and languages. He is funny, but I was very nervous in his class. He gets easily frustrated if you don't know the answer.

I had Prof. Hary several years ago and still remember how nervous I was in his class. He is quite demanding, but I enjoyed the challenge. I am now in a linguistics program in New York and can probably thank him for the great intro he provided.
