Prof. Hogan is a really funny guy who really, really knows his stuff. He does a good job at explaining material and will spend lots of time on hard homework problems, and a lot of time reviewing homework in general. He prepares you for tests extremely well. However, his tests are very lengthy and can be challenging.

He is very knowledgeable on the subject and truly wants his students to succeed. His classroom gives a comfortable atmosphere and hes good at making students actually want to be there, as much as one could want to be at school. He simplifies everything down the best he can. HW everyday, but it helps a lot with quizzes. Best professor Ive had.

Professor Hogan is the Caviar of all physics professors, he will put so much effort into making sure that everyone understand the material. He is the whole package; good teaching style, fun environment, fare grader. The only thing to pay attention to is his high level exams, but still fair. I recommend taking him for all physics! solid Disk wins

One of the best professors I've ever had! I never thought I would like physics but Dr. Hogan made it not only tolerable but enjoyable. He truly cares about his students and is ALWAYS available for help when you need it. To top it off he's simply a great person to be around and is very personable. Very happy that I took his course!

As before in 201 and 202, Dr. Hogan shows a tremendous amount of knowledge in the field of engineering physics and teaches it in an understandable manner. As per usual, the grading is the same: Tests weighed the heaviest, homework done with a sleeve of extra credit if you do everything. No quizzes this time around but the content is not too hard.

Dr. Hogan is by far the best physics professor at JJC. He spoon feeds you all the information you will ever need and makes physics easy. Homework is a grade and is gone over in its entirety. So if you don't know how to do a problem it will be done in class. I would recommend Dr. Hogan over all of the professors who teach physics at JJC.

Prof. Hogan sets you up for success in his classes. He tells you what's going to be on the quizzes/exams and he gives you hw hints. If you show up to class and pay attention, you will get an A. I did in 201, 202, and 203 and now I'm at U of I. Beware: Prof. Hogan teaches well, but once you transfer, you will be pushed and tested greatly.

It is my duty to give this man a great rating. I'm a college graduate and he has been a top 3 professor of mine. Words cannot describe how great of a professor this man is. Do yourself a favor and take Dr Hogan. You will work for your grade, but you will learn a lot along the way. Science is not impossible. And he is extremely funny.

Dr. Hogan is one of the best professors Ive ever had. His lectures are to the point. The homework he assigns is whats on the quiz, which is whats on the test, which is whats on the final. Do your part and have fun along the way. Who knows, you might actually learn something, too!

Prof. Hogan is an outstanding teacher. He is able to explain the material very well. He is also willing to work with you outside of the classroom if you need it. The class is VERY test heavy, but he does not throw a curveball on you. He tells you exactly what you need to know to pass the class. Be prepared to work very hard to get an A.

Dr. Hogan is a great teacher. He understands what he is talking about and is able to break it down for students being introduced to it. His tests and quizzes are well structured to reflect class lectures and homework , and extra credit is given by participation of HW problems. He is also a down-to-earth person who understands students views.

Bill Hogan is a terrific professor and makes Mechanical Physics as easy as possible. The lectures along with the homework all fell into place in the end, giving me a better understanding of mechanical physics than what I previously had from AP Physics 1. His grading is clear and as forgivable as partial credit can be.

Dr. Hogan is such an amazing professor and I would and am taking him again for 202. He has a very thorough understanding of physics and he really cares about his students. His class is test heavy but I mean this is physics. You will have to do the homework and study to pass. He has a PHD in physics from U OF I. Dr. Hogan is my favorite professor.

Dr. Hogan is the best professor I've ever had. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about. His methods are really polished as he continually adapts/improves them. Tests are hard, but it's because he's helping you to grow your knowledge. I'll miss Hogan, and I doubt my universities teachers will top him. Also, HE'S HILARIOUS!

Best professor I've gotten in two years at JJC. Dr. Hogan is a down to earth and hilarious guy. His lectures are enjoyable and makes the topics we are covering much easier to understand. Grading criteria is clear and is heavily based off of exam scores. Dr. Hogan is a must take professor if you are going to take physics. Highly recommend.

I took Dr. Hogan for Physic 201,202,203. He is one of my favorite teachers. He cares about students, wants you to actually learn. He has real world experience. Good story teller, very funny. If you ever have the opportunity you should take his class. All engineering majors should take him! You need your book for homework. He's a fair grader.
