Comment:
I thought this class would be horrible, since it was required, she was the only prof. I could schedule in, and the comments here are awful. She was tough, but a really funny and interesting teacher. I think maybe these comments are outdated. Anyway, I find the stuff I learned useful even today.

Horrible!!! I think she has forgotten that she too is a student and needs to get off her high horse and stop treating us lowly undergrads like idiots with nothing but free time to sit around figuring out what trick questions she can throw at us on our next exams. She is the worst teacher I have ever had in all my four years at Purdue!!!!

Dishes out so much work, you may as well give up on any kind of education or activity outside of her class alone. It doesn't matter how prepared you are, or how hard you work -- you'll find yourself tripped up with trick questions, and shot down.

Very knowledgable about the subject matter. Cares about her students and wants them to understand the material. Will go out of her way to help. Never picks on students, but students who aren't prepared and don't do the reading might think so. Best instructor I have ever had!

Insane amounts of reading that is not discussed or necessary, insanely slow return of papers. She feels the need to constantly reassure herself that yes, she is smarter than her students. She makes students feel bad.

Funny, tries to relate difficult stuff to everyday life. Really approachable. Went out of her way to help me when life was hard.

Consistently COntradicts HERSELF and is overly opinionated and does not allow students to form their own ideas.

Doesn't seem to have a lesson plan; doesn't seem well prepared to teach the subject. Consistantly contridicts book, but claims to be teaching what the book says. Very odd. Not learning anything useful in this class.
