Keep up with the study guides. He answers as many questions as students ask, take advantage! Drops lowest score. Excel on your lab sheets and it should be an easy A.

Although very passionate about the subject I found his class to be boring. The book was completely useless and all his tests were based on his lectures meaning if you missed one you're screwed. His quizzes weren't even based on the lectures but on the labs, which was annoying since his lectures were so long. Quizzes every class, no make ups allowed

His teaching is very organized, his tests are based on the lecture so study lecture notes, use flash cards and you’ll pass the test, he drops your lowest test and lab, labs are easy and you’ll get a quiz almost every week based on previous lab. interesting class he‘s an arachnologist so you’ll learn cool stuff about spiders, and gross worms

Lectures cover the topics in the study guide and he let's you know where potential test questions will come from. Prof. Hebert is enthusiastic and very helpful. The course was enjoyable and rewarding.

This class provided a great foundation for the higher level courses.I still refer to my class notes sometimes.Professor Hebert is very pleasant, fair, knowledgeable and clear in his instructions. He breaks everything down to really understandable concepts. Many topics are covered(rather briefly),but if you keep with the studying, you have no problems

very passionate about subject matter, but tries to teach too much over the semester. You need to study/teach yourself on your own if you want to get a decent grade in the class. He doesn't answer questions in class because he's trying to speed through his powerpoints.

Total nerd - but in an endearing way. Straight forward lectures. Willing to help those who will meet him half way. Interesting tangents in the middle of class. If you don't pass it's because you are lazy. Highly recommend this guy.

Considering that I'm not that great at science, this was a relatively easy class. He does tend to ramble and digress a lot though, which can be frustrating. Grades pretty easily (thankfully) and he's very helpful! Is very clear in what is going to be on the test. DO study the study guide, that will be critical to your success.

One of the coolest professors I've had at PCC. The only thing is that he really likes to lecture, prepare to listen for hours and hours non-stop. If you like the subject, he's a wealth of knowledge. Doesn't grade too strict, gives a study guide & potential questions for the tests that you can ask for answers. Strongly recommend taking his class.

Animal Bio was great with Hebert - he is a great lecturer with a dry sense of humor, which I appreciate. He is extremely helpful with students. Study guides & questions posted online ahead of time - perfect prep for M.C. exams. Labs & lab quizzes are every day - best to be prepared. Drops lowest test and 2 lowest labs. Cumulative final isn't hard.

Gives out a quiz everyday but the quiz is extremely easy if you paid attention to the lab and the lecture notes.Has a website with study guide questions to help you with upcoming tests, which are multiple choices so they're quite easy. Textbook is not really required, mostly for references to lab. Make sure to ask a lot of question. Very helpful prof

loves his subject, can be funny during lectures, not a warm and fuzzy kind of guy, but he warms up to you once he knows you are interested in the course. you do have to put in time for an A. review sessions before each test very helpful. i think everyone learned and enjoyed themselves a great deal. Field trips were fun too.
