Kinda nervous what the workload would be like being only 4 weeks long and over the summer while working 40-50 hours per week but it was doable. 2 discussion posts per week +2 essays. Dr Cooke even let me submit an essay a day late w no penalty, & that's just 1 great thing about her along descriptive feedback. Best choice if taking just for credit!!

Dr. Cooke is absolutely hilarious and super interesting. PHL 112 is a good choice for getting a quick introduction into different schools of philosophy. The " Logic" aspect wasn't as terrible as I thought it would be. If you study, do the readings, and pay attention in class, it is an easy A.

Dr. Cooke really wants each of her students to succeed. She knows we are taking her class because we have to and she makes it really fun. I loved going to her classes -the lectures were funny, she always went over the readings so you were never lost, and you could go over your notes the night before and get an A on the test. TAKE HER!

A huge lecture heavy class. Cooke tries to make class interesting and each person involved. She is respectful and students can tell she cares to what you have to say. Class is dry and the reading isn't very necessary. Easy grader and outlines everything on test and quizzes.

Dr. Cooke is really good! she made the material easy to understand and went through the study guides with you so you know exactly what's on the test. If you don't want to read, you don't have to because she goes over everything thoroughly in class (just make sure you are paying attention). I hope I have the chance to take her for ethics later.

Elizabeth Cooke is by far one of the best professors at Creighton. Her class is interesting even though philosophy can be boring. She really wants to help students learn and be successful. Only downside is only 4 tests and 4 quizzes, but she really works with you to make sure you have the material down before the test. I got 100% on her tests.

She presents interesting material and genuinely wants students to think about it, without pushing a bias. Hysterical, never got bored in class. Made me wish I was a philosophy major

Dr. Cooke, is a powerhouse of the PHIL department in that after taking her classes you yearn to understand deeper. She teaches her accelerated classes so her students are exposed and knowable about deep issues and are encouraged to think about how rationality itself is a presupposed idea, her discussions and lectures elicit thought and discussion.

Professor Cooke is a great teacher. Her lectures can drag on sometimes, but she's very interested in her topic and will often go off on tangents to discuss thought experiments or random ideas. She's actually very fun to listen to. Tests are always straightforward and she grades fairly easily.

Took this as an evening class. I wouldn't take the evening class again given the option but I would take Dr. Cook again in a heartbeat! Her class is extremely interesting and she gives great lectures. Tests are very doable and she grades on the more lenient side. Also, you'll never be swamped with reading.
