Had him a few years ago at KSU, great professor!! Made Chem I a little easier than it normally is. Would recommend him. Very helpful! Had him for lab and lecture!! No longer teaches at KSU though :(

Lab Quizes are HARD! I have seen other lab sections quizes and you can't even compare the 2. I am really worried about the final...which he says is really really really hard! He is a nice guy, but try and take someone who is more generic in their quizes.

Stay away! Quizzes are pop & ridiculous, generally 4 qstns, miss 1 you fail. He's inconsistent on grading 4 reports, its like he doesn?t want to give an A. He also gives a final that he admits 2 being hard. Im hoping for huge curve at end of the yr, otherwise our section is in trouble. Im making an A in lecture, its odd im barely getting by in lab

I can't stand this man. He grades much harder than necessary in order to "prepare" you for the future. He's unclear about his expectations, is never in his office during office hours, is always "too busy," is extremely scatter brained, and will bore you to death and waste your time with his stupid personal stories. Take someone else!!

Dr. Hair is overrated. I was told to take him by a friend because he was a thorough teacher. NO! He missed class, and did not stay on task. He was also never in his office during his office hours. He was not helpful, and I learned nothing. Do not take him. You stand a better chance with a teacher who actually comes to class.

Got frustrated alot with his style of teaching. Im getting frustrated right now thinking about taking notes in that class. Most of my class and I felt he made tests unusually hard. Very nice man but wouldnt recommend. He is very knowledgeable in Organic chemistry but the rest he seems to know little.

I agree, he has definitely slipped. I was more mad about him missing classes for the whole 3 weeks then testing us on the material as if we had a teacher there the entire time. I was very disappointed in this class. Now i have to retake it because i got a bad grade and i didnt learn a single thing!

Hair has slipped from what he once was. I had him for 1152, and he was good, but I had to take him for 1211 because of a major change. He constantly missed class, but we were expected to keep up with the material on our own. He missed about 3 weeks of class total! But we were tested on the same thing! If you can teach YOURSELF then he is for you.

I had Dr. Hair for organic lab and what a great time. Dr. Hair was one of the best teachers I have found at KSU and was always willing to take time to explain any questions I had. He always came to class with a smile and a greast attitude. It get the chance to take him consider yourself lucky.

Dr Hair was a fabulous teacher for chemistry! Even if you are not a chem person he does put concepts in understandable terms and you can get it. You will not be lost! If you can get in his class - do it! Very good professor!

HAIR ROCKS! However, be prepared to work. If Chem is not your subject,the material is tough. He is a bit unorganized and his notes are often scattered. Tests are difficult and graded on a odd scale. about 5 extra credit opportunities for 2 pts. Like him as a guy, but chem was hard because the material was NO FUN!

Dr. Hair is great!! He will help you in anyway you need!! His notes are all on the dry-erase board, so you have to pay attention! He dances around a lot and tells A LOT of stories from when he was in grad school!! He is sometimes corny, but most of the time funny!! If i could, I would take him again! He is great!

Awesome guy; would definitely take again (and plan to). His tests are pretty hard but nothing insane. He explains things pretty well, but is a little unorganized. He does expect you to be able to apply what you learn - not just know it.

These reviews are deceptive. I took Hair in the fall and his class was really tough. He talks slowly but the material is difficult to grasp and the tests are IMPOSSIBLE. He expects you to memorize numerous formulas, conversions, and definitions, while applying these concepts to get the answer. Only 1 or 2 people made an A. I wouldn't recommend him.
