Dr. Diciccio is awesome! He likes to go on tangents for a little bit that are quite funny but he truly does know all about Pittsburgh. His two exams are short answer which can be extreme but if you go to class and take good notes, you will do great. This class was definitely my favorite and I highly recommend everyone to take it!!

Dr. Diciccio is an amazing professor and is an absolute treasure chest of knowledge when it comes to Pittsburgh. You MUST GO TO CLASS! He only gives 2 grades and they are both 100 question tests (the second one is a final and is not cumulative). Everything he says in class will be on those tests, so make sure to take clear notes and study hard.

Love Prof D.! Never thought I would meet someone who could make the French and Indian War interesting and funny but there ya go. He is an encyclopedia of knowledge about Pittsburgh and beyond. Tests are easy to pass if you attend class and study, very hard to get a perfect score on. Take a class with this hilarious and informative man

Dr. DiCiccio. There ya go. Quite literally we're talkin about a REAL S.O.B. Ya see he gives BOKU amount of reading. Ooh yeah! Keep in MIND the bloody course is only two objective tests. So honest to God, you have to ask yourself the 64 million dollar question. Do I really wanna take this class? In other words, BIG DEAL. Big deal. I don't know

Really Cool Prof. Very Knowledgeable and funny. You should read what he assigns, if you still have a high school mind and don't want to put in reading time then you will not like him. Tests are very EASY as long as you read and write down all info he gives. Great Class!

I question his preparation due the lack of any real structure built into his lectures on the history of Pittsburgh. The lectures were constantly interrupted by extraneous historical information not applicable to the course, numerous handaround items, and a necessity to put down mentally challenged people to gain cheap laughs.Bad reflection of Pitt.

*Hilarious* dude. Goes off on tangents at times but seems to realize this when giving the tests. A lot of the questions he puts on the tests are difficult, but is often willing to give hints and opportunities for extra credit. Plus the class (History of Pittsburgh) was very interesting!

Let the buyer beware! With a professional career showing little progress, this instructor is ready to vent his insecurities at his own discretion; this extends to the silly ?humor game? of his, described elsewhere at this site.

This guy is crazy, and I mean that in the best possible way. If you're from Pittsburgh, you will love his History of Pittsburgh class. It is the most fun you'll ever have working yourself into the ground. To do well, you MUST (1) attend EVERY class, (2) take COPIOUS notes, and (3) have a really REALLY good memory for minute details. Very difficult.

Had Dr. Diciccio for History of Pittsburgh. The class is great, especially if you are from Pittsburgh and want to know more about this area. His tests are 100 completion questions, but aren't bad as long as you show up for class. Maybe the most I have learned in a single class in all my years in college!

I just took his spring Hist. of Pittsburgh class and can say its the most fun class I took at Pitt (I just graduated). The guy knows how to make boring stuff fun. Exams have too many questions though, but he is a generous grader. make sure you attend class and participate, and you will be fine. I love the guy.

History of Pittsburgh-- Dr. DiCiccio was awesome last year with a room full of students, and even more interesting in a small group. Teaches the class as a narative and is *very* fair with grades as long as you show up for a majority of the classes. Two years in and he's still my favorite professor at Pitt. Will definitely take more of his classes.
