Sweet FYS. Hot topics and field trips are a must see - especially the Tedx talk we went to. She got me hooked on science at hope.

She wastes class time on one problem. She is just an overall terrible teacher. She is not organized. Specifically, she does not come to class with an idea of what she's going to teach us. She just wings it every time. The only kid who got an A in our class, taught himself with...wait for it... Wikipedia.

I loved physics prior to this class. Took lots of it in HS and was planning on majoring in it. Not anymore. While she is somewhat helpful in her office, she sometimes makes you feel stupid if you don't understand, and in class she is useless. She doesn't teach at all, you learn it from the book and she does a few ex. on the board. terrible class.

Terrible teacher, Physics is extremely hard, but its hard because of people like her, she expects you figure out ideas which required hundreds of years of thinking by some of the brightest people who ever lived in just a couple of days without any help, the class stucture is poorly set up and moves way to fast, AVOID THIS CLASS!

I think she's a really decent prof. She's always available for help in her office and she explains things really well in her office. She expects you to work really hard and her class is extremely difficult (as are her exams). She doesn't curve but gives a LOT of partial credit and she doesn't just let the class fail as someone said above.

a nice enough person, but not a good prof. she is kind of unorganized, and doesn't explain herself well. also, she doesn't prepare you well enough for the exams. I did not enjoy her class at all.

I thought before going to this class that taking something about forensic science would be fun and exciting--however, this has been my least favorite class this semester. For trying to orient you at Hope, it sure seems like a typical high school class. Mader herself is alright, I suppose, but she could make it much more interesting if she tried.

HORRIBLE TEACHER! I didn't understand any physics the entire semester...and I don't think many people did considering the exam average was a 62%, and she thinks thats OK.

One of the nastiest teachers I have ever had at Hope. I tried to go to her for help and she basically told me that she didn't have time for me. She's a poor teacher and she doesn't see any sort of problem with her entire class getting an average of 50% on her exams. She also refuses to curve.
