she's a sweet person at heart but those outlines bro. i haven't submitted an "outline" for a grade since the 7th grade, and this work is beneath college students but with so many ridiculously harsh standards. also, if you tell me that my work is only worth spending 5 minutes grading, then i should only have to spend 5 minutes working on it.

She is a heavily difficult person to listen in lecture. She says one thing and grades things another way. Her syllabus is a mess and she talks down to you if you don't understand it. Don't take her class.

This professor really makes it clear from the start- She has no idea how to run this class. She does not accurately follow her course schedule, and she honestly makes NO attempts to assist students. She passes out failing grades like candy and then refuses to work with you on fixing that, even though she says she will. Absolutely horrible.

Honestly this lady is nasty and rude. I had her as my advisor and had to switch within a month. She is not helpful and just plain mean. Her class is boring she has no personality. Would not take this class with her again.

Her syllabus is not clear as to what she wants. Gets off topic doesn't really discuss what we need to know for the class. She grades you more on your grammar rather then actually knowing the content. Her grading policy is VERY unreasonable. Don't take her if you actually want to learn. Most of your knowledge will come from the textbook not her.

Hirsch is not welcoming at all. Her mood changes like the wind and it effects students tremendously. Having her as a freshman scared me, she is a tough grader and blames her poor teaching and communication on the students. Not a very nice woman at all!!!! She doesn't believe in A's for even deserving students.

I am not one to leave comments on these things, but I am here to help other students like me out. For teaching an all freshman class, she is not helpful or clear as to what is expected. She will hand out 0's even if you put hours of work into it. I suggest taking this class with another professor. She is very manipulative, and not helpful.

not clear and concise. she was a terrible professor and unwilling to help any student. she was RUDE and without a doubt the worst professor i have ever had. it's as if she wants all of her students to fail. gives out zeros left and right. would NOT recommend .

Despite how hard her courses may seem, was one of the best professors I had. She remembers who you are, focuses on individual growth and tries her best to help students become better. She is writing intensive, however, I finished COM 360 with knowledge on APA citation that helped me the rest of my life! This challenge was rewarding!

Very unreasonable grader. She grades as if her salary goes lower each time she gives someone over a C. She's VERY RUDE and unfriendly. She's the Professor Umbridge from Harry Potter, at SUNY Oswego. By far the worst professor at Oswego.

I am a fan of taking Hirsch's classes. I would tell anyone to take a course with her because I learned more from her than any other professor at school. This course taught me a lot about the way different organizations function and pointed me in the right direction of what kind or organization I'd want to work for.

Hirsch is a nice lady but a terrible professor. She makes you think she wants you to pass her class, then you get your papers back and you have no idea how you did so poorly. Would never recommend her, especially for an elective class. She acts bi-polar, one day shes happy then shes mad, and she takes it out on students through grades.

Hirsch was horrible. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS, just wait till next semester when another professor is teaching the same class. It's a self taught class, u need the textbook to learn all the information bc she won't teach it to u. Only her opinions matter, and u will never win. Professor Hirsch was a huge b*tch to say the least. Her grading policy was awful. BUT... on the other hand, she was an amazing professor and is very well educated. I loved the material in the class. This class was not an easy A, every grade I got I worked my ass for. She taught me more than just interpersonal communication she taught me life skills

She is a very tough grader but if she knows you are putting effort in, she will take that into consideration. Her grading policy is very hard because it's mostly based on grammar and techniques. Otherwise, great teacher. Does not lecture, and gets the students involved. great class and her teaching style won't bore you. need textbook!

Hirsch is one of the worst professors in the world. I STRONGLY DISLIKE HER. DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. she is an extremely tough grader and if you have 3 mistakes on any of your papers you get a ZERO. Also she is nasty and rude. She doesn't teach all she does is talk about her life that no one cares about. To be honest I have no idea why she got hired.
