He is an extremely nice teacher, but tends to be a little hard to understand in his teaching ways. He only assigned 3 homeworks, there was two tests and a final that were all hard. Also, a quiz after pretty much every class.. he'll drop the lowest one which allows you to miss one class. If you like teaching yourself this class is for you.

Hopson is the greatest!! He's super smart and explains the material very well. I was a terrible "math" person before, but I feel more confident now. You should definitely take him!

Took him for the bridge program-he is adaptable in his teaching method. He is extremely smart, a Wharton MBA, but a little confusing to take as a teacher. He is pretty helpful in class. There wasn't any homework, just a lot of class work.

he is a really nice guy. He cares about his students. True, he is young and a bit confusing, BUT he will do anything he can to make sure you understand...you just have to ask. He cares about each individual in the class, and will talk to you if your even having problems in classes he does not teach... A REAL HONEST GUY!!

Confusing teacher, you will need to read the book for clarity on things. He does however, give out TONS of extra credit - so go to class! He really isn't that bad, Stat isn't to interesting to begin with. Make sure you will be able to have him for both stat I and II though.

I don't know what the others are talking about. He is the worst teacher I have had here at philly u. he has no idea what he is talking about and seems like he is always unprepared for class. He is so unhelpful and gives you tests without teaching first. he needs to stick to his other job.

I rarely showed up for class and I know NOTHING about statistics. There is absolutely no way I should have passed this course, but I did. He's extremely nice and tries very hard to explain everything. Final Exam was optional; I didn't take it since he basically handed me a free pass anyway.
