Extremely vague in assignment descriptions. you have to ask many, many questions and then are still confused. He'll read over your paper before you turn it in, which is nice, and say it's good and that there's just a couple things to fix, and then you fix those and still get a B or C somehow.

He's not bad in person if you need to talk to him. However, he is extremely unclear about assignments and pretty much everything else. Not a single class was useful in anyway. He goes on tangents and talks about things that don't matter or help. Useless and boring class. I didn't learn anything. He's a smart guy, if only he knew how to teach.

Very hard grader on everything. Most boring teacher I've ever had. Uses huge words you have to look up just to understand what he's asking you to write on. Couldn't be more vague. STAY AWAY IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!

He's one of the most arrogant men I have ever met. I don't think I learned anything about the Civil War in this class. I really think Gateway is useless, but this one is especially useless. He's also very uninterested in dissenting opinions.

I had my doubts about Professor Bray at first, but he's grown on me. He can be extremely unclear at times, and tends to go off on random tangents, but he's very intelligent and truly cares about his students. If you are unclear on something (which is inevitable with Bray), ask him. In my experience, he has always been more than happy to help.

Prof. Bray is a great teacher to take classes with. He is incredibly knowledgable and passionate about the classes he teaches and his syllabus is always straight forward and simple. The class usually consists of several books to read and discuss along with about 3 or 4 papers for the semester including the final. He is a nice guy

Very intelligent but not that interesting. An odd old man, and his discussions almost make you feel inadequate. Make sure you read his essay prompts very very carefully - they're a paragraph long and have all these crazy requirements but if you are missing one, get ready for a "see me" on your paper. I guess I'd tolerate him again though.

he's really not as bad as people say. he was my first english professor at iwu, i was the only freshman in 280. only 3 papers, plenty of time to work on them. boring books, but i got away with only actually reading one and skimming the rest for papers. not an unfair grader- i pulled out a b+. from talking to others, one of the easier 280 profs.

Bray is Great. He is a tough grader but for the lazy student with talent, he is perfect. He doesnot give many assignments at all-he just wants you to come to class, add something every now and then- and show that you care about what the subject matter is. Expect a B-always!!!!!

He is so boring!!! Who can sit and lecture,or shall I say talk, for 75 minutes. I absolutely dreaded going to class and could hardly stay awake. He doesn't teach us anything, but at the same time he expects you to write these stellar papers when it is unclear what exactly he's looking for!!
