Goes super fast, very condescending, will belittle you if you ask for help, if your not good at tests you wont pass. Woudlnt recommend at all.

I do not recommend Professor Head at all. She is smart, but she can't teach. She expects you to know how to do the math before taking her class. She is very snippy when asked questions and typically couldn't elaborate on answers. She is not willing to help at all and genuinely doesn't care if you understand the material at all.

Comment:

She is a good teacher but if you don't go to the class, you will miss vital information and most likely fail. You don't need to do the homework for the class but if you do it, she gives you 3 additional points on your test and you get more familiarized with the material. I never used the book.

Comment:

Expects you to know all material before you begin the course and gets angry easily when asked a question. LOTS of homework and quizzes that are only worth 0.01 point. Tests are weighted VERY heavily. Be prepared to teach yourself at home because she doesn't explain well in class.

Not Responsive to emails, not willing to help improve grades, and assumes you know everything from day one. Don't bother buying textbook because she prints out notes. Seems like a good human being but not the best teacher.

She is brilliant in math, but horrible at teaching! She thinks everyone knows as much as she, and gets very inpatient if you aren't on her level mathematically. She can be snippy and won't give you the time of day. Her "office hours" is when she eats lunch and basically tells you to get lost. Goes way too fast, and show 6 ways of doing things.

Not very nice to certain people in her class. Makes you feel stupid and embarrasses you when you try and ask questions. Not a nice person, good teacher but her personality and rudeness ruins it. Took this class fresh out of high school in '14. I was afraid to jump into regular college algebra&fail due to previous bad experiences with (Newell). Taking this class was too easy for me. But for those who struggle she does offer 2 different grades. One with hw,added for extra credit or without hw. Do the HW, you never know when you'll bomb test

If math is not your strongest subject, I do not suggest you take any math with Professor Head. She has difficulty answering questions and explaining problems because she expects you to already know the majority of the information from previous classes.

Difficult class. If you're already good at math then it's probably cake. If not, you need to focus & study. Take notes. You need text code for the online book for sure. She'll get onto if you're not paying attention to her. Not a very enthusiastic instructor, I need someone with spice! Don't be late to class...

I am not happy with this teacher. She acts like students already know what they are doing. I felt like I was completely in the dark. I even went to her office privately and asked her to tutor me and she flat out told me to go to the learning lab. She likes to show you how to do math equations in like 6 different ways to confuse you even more.

Mrs. Head was alright. I would say that she is probably better than average, considering that Statistics is a pretty tough class. I went through the entire semester without doing any homework. She has two different grading procedures, one option with homework and another without. So if math is your strong suit, you're golden.

Took the 6 week summer course. It takes a lot of time and study. Was very challenging class and went fast. Professor Head is excellent. She wants you to do well and will def help.just ask. I found her funny at times. Great Professor. Would def Recommend her

Prof. Head is an Excellent teacher! She teaches very wel & thoroughly. She goes fast on some subjects, but if u practice a lot, learn your calculator, and try to focus on the subject matter & pay attention, she is really a good teacher, and she does answer your questions a lot! I talked to her after almost every class period and she helped me also

The class is difficult because she does not communicate well. If you are not a math person,she is not a good teacher to have. She does not answer back on my math lab to questions I have had, even though she said to ask questions on there. She knows the subject well, she just does not explain it as well as I needed.

She is a good teacher. This class was fairly easy. There's a lot of material to absorb, but the practice tests she gives are extremely helpful. The actual exams are very very similar to the practice exams, just with different numbers. Do the practice exams over and over until you have them down perfectly, and you'll do great in this class!

Professor loves what she teaches but does not teach it well. I had a hard time with her class. She is one of those professors who reads right off of the powerpoint and expects you to get an A when you attend class for the tests.
