He is passionate about the subject. He focuses on tattoos, graffitti, and diners but he makes it clear that he's focusing on outside Not popular culture. It fulfills the Art Gen Ed requirement and not a Social Sciences one for a reason. His test can be tough but he the tests are graded on a curve so it's not a big deal.

Pretty pointless class and a waste of tuition money. the guy is great, so easy going and loves just about anything you do, so the prof is good, the class itself gives you hands on which is fun, but just seems like a pretty useless class.

you have to take any art teacher with a grain of salt, and i think that davy damkoehler is an amazing teacher with tons of great ideas and innovative assignments. if he doesn't get you thinking and raise your awareness of all types of art, then you should drop his class and take raquetball.

With Davey you have to show that you really want to learn...and if he senses that from you you'll get something in return. He forced me to really push myself with his challenging abstract problems. This has served me well in life.

This is the most ridiculous exscuse for an art class. If you like to cut and tape paper for two months, this is the class to take. There are two weeks left in the semester and we've finally started doing something remotely productive. He is an excellent artist, but a horrible professor.

Class: Modern American Culture. Good prof in my opinion, totally differnt spin on a class. if you do what he asks you will get through the class just fine. exams are harder then expected, but managable. definitly take the course if you want to expand your mind on the definition of "art"
