*Sigh*He's the only professor for this class so you have to take it with him if you are an accounting major. He assumes students already read the whole book before attending the class and he is too smart to understand why students cannot do any of the questions. Do ALL questions of each covered chapter even though some of them are not required

I heard that this class was difficult but it turned out to less difficult than i expected. Professor is knowledgeable and very patient. As long as you read the materials carefully and attend the class on time, it will be easier to get A.

You will learn a lot from his lectures. I registered his first section. However, to understand his lectures, I attended his two sections, the first one and the second one. I understood his material very well.

This guy is ridiculous and his teaching only fits for PhD students. He wants his students to know every single thing in the book before going to class. His explanation makes no sense blh blh blh, exteremly difficult to understand his law language.

Comment:

One of my favorite accounting classes to date. Very difficult material, but well worth the time if you are interested in tax, and if youre an accounting major, you should be. Harris has a very dry wit which makes the class enjoyable and if you work hard you will be rewarded. Highly recommended!!!!

This is the type of class you must attend to understand the material. A lot of material to understand and review in order to do well. Exams are difficult but not impossible due to the heavy curve. my best grade on exam was an 85/140 and i got an A-. He doesnt do powerpoints or posts notes so you must pay attention because he goes fast

His course is definitely not easy, but you can learn a lot. I like him because he is smart and knows a lot! He doesn't need to think at all before he answer you question! You must do your work to catch up with him in the class.But learn quite quite a lot!!! like him!

Very hard class with hard concepts. Huge curve so its not impossible to get a good grade. Harris is very smart and can be hard to understand because he knows so much, but also helpful when you have questions.

His beard is marvelous and he's a deceptively funny guy who often uses the word "macabre," which is a treat in and of itself. However, the class is atrociously boring (which isn't his fault) and the material's pretty hard. He allows you to bring in a one-page sheet with notes on it for the test, which is nice.

I'm a senior and this was the most difficult course I've taken. His exams are hard, uses blackboards during his lectures instead of powerpts, and its hard to understand what hes talking about in class most of the time. Read the book b4 every class (sometimes more than once) and you'll be fine. Hard to get an A but not impossible. Big curve. Study!

One of the most difficult courses offered by Whitman - "Harris takes no prisoners" was what my faculty advisor warned me before taking this class. He'll definitely make you work for your grade, but you can't get lower than a C- and there are always people that will do worse.

This is one of the hardest classes that I have ever taken. It isn't really the teacher as much as the material but Harris will push you, he is a genius. First test a 29 was a D. That goes to show that people werent really getting it.
