David Lobdell was my very first professor ever, about 20 years ago, and to this day still one of my favorites ever. I took several others with him. I can't describe how much I loved his classes, very fair, inspirational and informative. He really helped shape my future in my own art, highly recommend.

Great instructor! I was blown away by the amount of information he had, as well as his experience. If any student has issues it is due to their own inability to learn or they dont posses enough amount of creativity. Don't expect this man to do your work for you, you are an adult life is hard get over it. The information he has is icredible.

Comment:
very unprofessional. directly insults students, complains about giving help, has unpredictable mood swings. he operates within an exclusive clique of professors and young students. he is cool to have a beer with, but mostly an obstacle in the classroom. if you want to gain skills in his classrooms, you'd better be self motivated, or join his clique

David is professional and very helpful to students of all skill levels. He is in NO way disrespectful towards women or any of his students. His criticism is very useful for improving your skill with the material and with design.

David is a wonderful teacher. He takes students on road trips to iron pours and to look at galleries, and spend a lot of time helping them. His critiques are fair and helpful.

Comment:
He is rude, snoddy and unhelpful. Not fit for this profession; definitely not a mentor type.Students don't like to take other classes with him. He coerces students to destroy other professors' reputation and position within the university. Jerk!
