TAKE ANY OF HIS CLASSES! Ive taken two actually. TINKCOM IS AWESOME. Of course he expects students to have done the readings but it makes class all the more interesting. He's quirky and fun!

One of the best professors in the department. Always willing to talk students through the readings outside of class and great at leading in-class discussion as well as making students comfortable. To slightly correct another commenter, he's only published one book but his articles been published in some major places.

A smart guy, but pretty self-absorbed. Class presentation is more that of a talented doctoral candidate than a seasoned scholar. Not too into helping anyone beyond carbon-copies of himself. Only major publication: a polished version of his dissertation. One printing only.

One of the best professors on this campus and I learned a lot, especially about film. Some students may not like his teaching style--lots of discussion and an expectation that students come prepared, but he made the class-material clear and pertinent.

Nice, passionate guy. Very funny. The class was lively, and I always looked forward to going. Very engaged with students; knows how to create rapport. Take his clases! He's got charisma dripping from him, which is also fun.
