Comment:

I really like professor Richeson, as he lets us work independently. In Math 211, we would prepare our work at home before class, and take turns to present assigned problems in class. After discussing in class, we would continue to use Latex to type in the solution for those problems into a textbook online.

Comment:

Taking Discrete with him was the worst decision I've ever made. He doesn't teach us anything (uses new student run method of teaching) and expects us to do homework every night w/o a book or using the help room and know everything well enough to get a good grade. There's something inherently wrong about this; many students agree.

Took Richeson for both Calc 161 and 162. He is a great guy with one of the warmest personalities I know. Very helpful. Kind of awkward at the board but makes up for it in his ability to help you out of class. Take him anyday.

Excellent teacher!! I had him for calc I and II. Calc made NO sense to me in high school, but he is really great at explaining the math so it makes sense, and doesn't go way too fast like some math teachers do. The class is not a breeze and the tests do require a significant amount of studying, but its calc so what else do you expect?

Hadn't taken math since 11th grade Pre-Cal, and felt the class was taught as a refresher to those who had already taken calculus. Really liked Dave though. Engaging and willing to give his own time to help.
