Great teacher- hilarious anecdotes. Lectures are heavy- take notes well and do not depend just on his power points. Offers a decent amount of extra credit to help if you do not do well on one of the exams. 3 exams only. Book was not needed but helped to read chapters he was discussing. Take him!

He's a great person, but the way the class functions could be improved. The lectures are very long, and there are only 3 exams, yes there's some extra credit, but if you do poorly one, you will not get a decent grade.

Professir Agatstein is very passionate about psych. He lectures for the whole amount of time and sometimes can get boring but he tries to be funny and tries to talk to the students and get everyone involved. Not a bad bone in his body. Exams and a few extra credits. Study and youll pass

I like Agatstein, I really do, his lectures are great and his criteria is clear. I just do not like the way his class is run. 3 exams and thats it, not to mention he does not use Blackboard. So if you miss a lecture you'll have to go back to the outline and try to figure out what to study. There are extra credit assignments and the exams are easy

Fred is amazing! Very lecture heavy class and reading the assigned chapter is a must. Easy to pass if you do the reading, attend class and take notes. Would definitely take again.

I took Agatstein Spring 2016 and forgot to rate him. I took Personality in a huge lecture hall. He is very charismatic and funny with his lectures, but for me personally, his exams were hard with his wording. I also never read the book which may be part of the reason why I didnt do well in his class. Has pop quizzes and extra credit too.

This class is not for lazy people! The lectures are really heavy so make sure you show up to class. He has 3 non-accumulative exams that are really long however you will be fine as long as you study the material. It helps to get the textbook for the extra credit. He tries to involve the class & make jokes. Highly recommend him.

He knows his stuff and he's hilarious, the only problem is that he talks through out every class for 2 hours straight- no breaks and no in class assignments. If you don't learn well by just listening and taking notes I'd avoid his class but if you are a good note taker and save a lot of time to study then you'll do fine. Plus, he gives extra credit

Professor Agatstein's personality class was overall an interesting class. He's very passionate about the material he teaches, all of which is presented in his PowerPoints. Although attendance isn't mandatory material on the 3 exams come straight from his lectures. Give lots of extra credit which can boost your grade up a lot!

He's a nice guy, but his lectures are boring. All he does is lecture for a straight 2 hours every class. Doesn't give any homework, and your grade is based on just 3 exams. The only upside of this class is that he gives a lot of opportunities for extra credit. I'm someone who needs to be challenged in class and this class didn't do it for me.

Killed my GPA because he grades off of 3 exams. I'm always lost in class because his teaching style is just boring and long. I don't learn by lectures I learn by being involved in the class and given work where i can learn things. all he does is lecture and you take notes and when you go back to study you don't even remember what he taught!

This professor has long and boring lectures. He does not post the lectures online so you must attend every class! Exams aren't too hard as long as you study for a few days. He gives a lot of extra credit which is what allowed me to somehow pass with a B+. He's a nice guy, but he could do a few things differently.

Long lectures get boring but paying attention and taking good notes should be enough. He seems passionate about the topics and can be funny. Only 3 exams which you should study a lot for! He does offer extra credit that counts towards exam grades which is helpful. Recommend.

Funny guy. Attendance isn't mandatory but he does pop quizzes which later adds to bonus points for the exams. The textbook was a big help for me but everythings pretty much in the notes and stuff he says in class.

I like Fred! I think he is very fair. Rarely used the book. 3 or 4 exams (tough), a few extra credit papers (easy) and that's it, so do well on exams! Lots of bonus points on the exams too! Attendance isn't mandatory but exams come from his lectures/powerpoints so I wouldn't skip class. Can get boring but he's funny so it helps!

He is a very nice guy and he can be funny at times. His lectures are very boring and it is very intimidating talking in his class. He tends to draw out stories and has a hard time moving on once he starts a story or examples. If he doesn't finish off what he is talking about in the previous class he will go on and it can get slightly confusing.

Funny guy. Lectures are great and he includes modern day references to make things more interesting. Exams are hard and don't reflect the lectures much at all. I only missed the first two classes and never felt like I ever caught up. He does not answer emails so your best bet is to speak with him directly if you have an important question.

Do not purchase the book for his class for it will never see the light of day. His lectures are clear and he uses many examples to explain theories/concepts. Extra credit assignments/quizzes are at random. He emphasizes hand written notes and to not cram for his exams. Three major exams that are non accumulative but contain a lot of info.
