She always gives take home tests that she says you can use notes on so obviously if you dont get an A in this class its your fault. She lectures the whole time off a power point and its kinda boring. If you participate and pretend you care she will like you but if you sit in the back on ur computer w head phones she will hate you.

This is coming from someone who always takes the easy A professors. Professor Esposito is an absolute angel and three of her four exams were take home. Class was an easy A. She even gives extra credit. Nothing important is done in class as everything is put up on blackboard. She understands this Is an intro course and wants you to get an A.

Just to be clear, she is a wonderful professor. If you really pay attention you can come out of the class with a completely different outlook on everything you do. She really challenges you so it is nowhere near an easy a. I would not advise taking her if you're below a junior. The work that is expected to be done is really complicated and deep.

Not only am I doing badly, but the whole class is also. She gives lectures while you're suppose to be copying her powerpoints. She doesnt post the powerpoints online, so you have to take the notes in class otherwise you won't pass her tests. She doesnt grade clearly. She also doesnt explain anything well. All her answers are long and confusing.

Three papers, one test. Papers aren't hard if you follow the lectures and notes. Textbooks aren't mandatory, but they don't hurt to have when writing the papers. Overall, solid choice. She is very political, though. I think she is a communist...

3 papers, one being the final, and a in class midterm muiltply choice. Kinda rude. Tough grader on papers, but literally just stick to the readings and apply its thoughts and terms. For one paper I recorded her talking about content and just wrote down her words, got 18/20. No attendance but powerponts needed for midterm, and the movies for papers

She's a very kind and considerate, although standards are high with regards to papers. But as long as you read the given texts and show specificity and clarity in your paper, then there shouldn't be any problem. If you do get problems in your scores or have questions about something, do not hesitate to approach her.

The class is pretty easy, with relatively few readings and 3 papers. The first paper seemed to be difficult for most of the class, but she went over what she wanted more specifically for it and the next paper as well. Occasionally watch movies and videos. Very judgmental and hypocritical, and easily angered if nobody raises their hand to answer.

Love her. Shes so funny and attendance is not mandatory as we only watch movie BUT if you are to skip, watch the movie in your free time. Come in sometimes to get the writing prop for your essay. Only four essay in total and no tests. She is hard on grading your paper. Has to talk about the characters in the movie in depth or will give you 0.

Good Teacher. Has like 4 writing assignments worth 25 percent of your grade. Pretty cool overall. We watch movies, read something and then write a paper. She started making powerpoint cause she knew students were struggling with note taking a bit which was considerate.

Attendance here literally isn't necessary. I recommend you take this with a friend though because if you miss class on a day when she gives out a paper, when it's due, you'll look dumb watching everyone else hand it in (like me). You and your friend can alternate class attendance and just make sure you do the reading and you'll be fine. (FALL 2013)

She is a very intelligent woman. Her instructions are always clear and easy to understand. Extremely fair and is willing to meet u half way if and only if you're willing to put in work. If you're looking to be "spoon fed" by her, think again. She's great!
