Comment:

Doesn't give feedback and took off at least 3 points to every one of my assignments with no explanation as to why. Blackboard set-up was extremely confusing for a class that is held solely on blackboard. Some assignments just didn't make sense or was just very obvious busy work.

Comment:

I took this as an online class and there was just too much reading covering the same things over and over again. Her feedback on papers made no sense. I was docked points for my paper being late (it wasn't) and too short (It was a half page over the minimum amount). She will never answer your emails.

Comment:

Don't take her unless you have to. Her blackboard setup is incredibly unorganized. She takes a month to grade anything. Better be a Liberal too, which I am, cause she's very focused on race, no matter what the subject matter of the class. Sometimes she can grade easily, cause you can tell she just gave everyone an A, nitpick other times for a C.

Took an online class over the summer. At first it wasn't bad, just lengthy discussion boards and a lot of reading. But we had four papers to write over the 8 week semester. She never put grades into blackboard. Even after the last day of class. I emailed her numerous times. She never replied. Then just assigned us all a grade the day they were due.

Took her online class. Her powerpoints never had sound when she said they did. The online "textbook" never helped. Only occasionally answered questions. When she did answer your question she would beat around the bush.

I took her online version. In the discussions she would talk in circles and didn't answer student questions directly. It was really frustrating when trying to get an answer. The extra credit thing was great...but I could never make it due to my family at home. When blackboard didn't work, it was on the students.

She seemed to draw heavily from poorly chosen textbooks. After the first couple of lectures the quality of information dropped off significantly. The course quickly took a politically biased stance and remained there for the semester. Probably one of the most incomprehensible courses I've taken.

AVOID!! She only lectured twice the semester and didn't know the material. We watched movies on the Civil War and answered questions that weren't related to the films. The course was confusing. She's lazy and only focused on her personal opinions. She passes out grades and doesn't return work when promised. LAZY LAZY teacher!!

Doesn't know that Japan and Germany were defeated in WWII (no kidding). Doesn't realize that both Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson were both Progressivists (as stated in our textbooks).

I am a student who is generally easy to please, but I was very unsatisfied with her class. She says she wants to know how to help the class do better, but will not make changes necessary. Never knew what information I was being tested on; I could study for hours and still get a bad grade because she covered so much. I do NOT recommend.

Her class is not easy, but also not hard. She knows her stuff and is very clear on subject. She's the easiest history teacher, but still you gotta study. You'll have just 3 exams, which is not bad. Participation required and you get graded for that. Gives review sheet for exams. Nice person, but strict during her class. Tries to teach students.

I cannot STAND this woman as a teacher. She talks down to students like children. Too much emphasis is placed on your attendance in grading. Her overheads are too wordy, but she expects people to read while she talks, and somehow determine which information she MIGHT deem test-worthy. Do not take this woman's class.

Horrible teacher. Claims to care about student's progress, but when she asked us for ways to better the class, she finished with the statement that she would not be changing the way she taught it. The class average was always low and she told us that it was our fault. Do not take her if you can help it!!

Horrible. Has no grasp of her subject knowledge...more interested in making herself look good than teaching the students anything. Avoid if you can.
