Comment:

Jack Rogers is a great professor. When I had him, all we had to do was study the lecture slides provided and apply that on our tests. This was throughout Fall 2019 of course. No added assignments or works besides tests and a group paper without a final to worry about. This may change, but I had a great time with him in class. I would take it again.

Loved this class, makes it enjoyable with jokes he makes otherwise the lecture would be boring. Plan on taking more classes with him if I can.

INTRO to Communication Theory graded like an ADVANCED class. Quizzes are over 30+ slides and 6 chapters. He also makes you complete "group tests" as well, which is your group writing a paper in class in 50 minutes. He doesn't give out A's. Also says the N- word too many times in class to still claim he's using it as an example. Lectures off topic.

Theory is his passion. He knows his stuff. Read what he suggests you read, but you won't be required to memorize. Open book tests, but you must be able to apply theory. Take notes and use them. Attend class. He will tell you exactly what he expects, and you pay attention to that and try, you'll be OK. He will help if you need it.

H is pretty funny and the class wasn't that hard, BUT he talks too much about himself. Some people might find some things he says offensive. Pretty opinionated, typical Southerner.

Very interesting class! Tests were straight memorization from the notes. Three papers due throughout the semester, and if they're written according his guidelines, it is easy to succeed. Attendance is mandatory in this class! He provides all the powerpoints and recommends simply taking notes on them.

I loved this class. It was not only interesting material but taught in an interesting way. All you have to do is show up to class pay attention take notes and get a good laugh while you learn, I wish all teacher were this interesting it is what makes learning fun.

Dr. Rogers is a GREAT teacher! I had him for summer semester and I enjoyed his stories and jokes, he really helps ease the atmosphere. Most students are pretty intimidated by having to speak in front of their peers but he really does make it easier. I dreaded this class before it began and now I can say I actually liked it!

I can't imagine anyone not learning from Dr.Rogers. If a student, having taken his class, says she did not learn anything, I blame the student. I just had him for the first time this semester and he made me, as well as my classmates, grow through analysis and discussion, every class period. My favorite professor. Brilliant. Not easy, but good.

Im shocked so many people liked Dr. Rogers. He didn't teach us ANYTHING about Public Speaking. Only talked about himself. And by himself I mean that he will preach to you about his church, how abortion is murder, and that we need to stay in Iraq. No structure, grading system is bad. Im an A student and try hard. Stay away from this teacher!

I really enjoy Dr. Rogers. He puts things into perspective... plus he has an awesome sense of humor. I love history and he likes to talk about history alot so i recommend taking critical thinking with him. He'll scare you at first, then you'll learn to love it!!

HILARIOUS!!! Funniest teacher I've ever had. Lots of fun, feels like I'm watching a play or something everytime I went to class. For me it was an easy A, and I would consider myself average. Tests are very easy if you can write about your experiences and be original. I would recommend him very much, wish he taught over upper level classes..

This is a funny guy. His first few classes are very funny and entertaining. However, later classes are very boring and he begins to repeat a lot of information towards the end of the semester. He is a great guy though, independent of his teaching. Will give out extra credit.

So much fun! This class was entertaining and I learned something! Great teacher!!!
