Dr. Smith often showed up late to lecture and had multiple mistakes on her powerpoints. There was more than one time she would go on a tangent about something and then tell us to erase our notes because she was wrong. Save yourself the headache and skip class, study from the book on your and show up for exams. She curves every test. End grade 99.8%

Well, Im gong to be completely honest about this. Dr. Smith is a very caring professor who has great intentions, and ultimately wants you to succeed. However, if you are a student in this course you MUST read the book every night in order to prepare and pass her exams. I suggest you be ready to give your soul to the biology department at Pittsburg

Her grading criteria is non-existent. I missed a problem my friend got correct (we had the same answer) on a test. She never let us keep tests for fear we would get her into trouble. She couldn't answer many basic entry level soil questions and was bad at Chem 1 material. I got an B only because she didn't give me points for correct answers.

Lectures from PowerPoints, I took meticulous notes and studied and did well. Sweet lady, very willing to give extra instruction after class. She takes out questions that people miss on the tests; so tests are curved. Gives extra credit randomly (sometimes when attendance is low) EC boosted my grade. Not the hardest or easiest class I've taken.

nice lady but horrible teacher. all she does is read off boring slides that make no sense and don't go along with the test's or reviews. Although i will admit she is way better than Gordon. Just make sure you read the book because that's all you really can do in this course.

Nice lady but boring class. She reads directly off the slides, and doesn't even make them up herself. I would recommend the book for this class because thats how you will need to study. She doesn't take attendance. Just study hard for tests because thats your only grade!

Ditzy, unorganized, confusing. The class is pretty easy once you figure out what she wants, but she's been giving a lot of assignments last minute with little to no real direction. Really shouldn't be teaching. But she is a very nice person and comes to class with enthusiasm.

horrible class! really boring. i hate this class with a passion. she sucks at teaching, but she's nice. the tests are difficult because the exams don't go along with the book/notes. her study guides are impossible, but she's better than gordon. try and take your chances with a grad student. good luck, you'll need it!

i think dr smith has had a little to much caffeine or something. her lectures leave a lot to be desired. i usually leave understanding less than i did when i walked in. i'll be lucky to pass her class. i'm sure i'll be taking it again next semester--from someone else

I had a really hard time talking to this teacher. She was very unhelpful and when I asked for help all she said was to sit in the front rather than the back...I sat in the front row everyday. She would not help me understand the material and told me to pass with a D rather than worry about understanding it.

She is a very nice lady, but I think all the caffine from her diet cokes are getting to her, because she can't seem to get her lectures straight. Make sure you take good notes, and you shoould be ok in the class.
