Comment:
This man is the worst professor I have ever had. He purposely tricks students on tests. Lectures consist of a monotone, rapid reading of a word document filled with grammatical and factual errors. Grades are based on the student's ability to take his tests, not their knowledge of notes/readings. DO NOT take any class with him.

This teacher is the most terrible teacher I have ever taken at VCU. He does not use Blackboard. He only has three exams and a final that make up the grade. He is the most boring in class and never returns emails. He refuses to give you points back on exams even if you prove he's wrong but he will give everyone like 4 points. Useless.

i had him for lab, and he was very easy. just show up for class! announces all quizzes and doesn't always keep you the entire time of class unless you're actually doing some kind of lab which requires the full time. he drops 2 quizzes, and tells what will be on the next one! I got an A my with not a lot of effort

Make sure to go to class and take good notes. Take advantage of the review sessions the TA puts on...they are VERY helpful (they go over old tests)...and if you ever find a discrepancy on a test, go over it with him b/c he might give you the points. He is very fair, but it is a weed out class so it can be difficult at times.

BORING, being in this class is like watching paint dry. He knows the material but doesnt know how to teach it. His TA is worse than he is. Uses MS Word for notes instead of powerpoint. He does put the notes in the tutoring center. Tests were hard, know the material front and back.

Summer 2005 -Fritsch is a very boring, old dude with a monotone voice. He speeds through the notes straight off the overhead. The exams are straight from the notes he gives you but he throws in some questions to trick you. Read the questions carefully. Save the exams because final exam is exact questions from first few exams. Study notes.

Worst possible teacher. Very unclear, boring and monotonous, i'd rather shoot myself than take another one of his classes. Do yourself a favor and avoid him at all costs. Tests are confusing and pay attention to stupid details that are pointless, if anything memorize the notes verbatim.

Don't try and get help from this guy. He never responds to anything...ANYTHING. No emails, office hours, hardly avaiable before or after class. The tests however are only from his notes so drill, drill, drill if you decide to take him.

Very boring prfessor!!! If you want an A take him though. He's the easiest bio teacher I've ever had. He's very clear about what he wants. You do have to study though... if you do, his tests shouldn't be a problem at all.

very boring class. He has a monotone voice that will bored you to death. His notes are extremely long (has errors). He knows his stuff but doesn't seem to care about the class that much. He makes bio seems boring and lifeless. I recommend to take another teacher but if you are a hard worker and likes to study than he won't be difficult for you

Very boring teacher. He is lazy also. He did not feel like posting info on blackboard, so you had to sit in his class and listen to his monotone voice. I recieved a B in the class, but it was difficult for me to stay awake as he ziped notes to us. He does not make the material come to life. I would not recommend anyone to take his course.

His tests are passable but there are a handful of questions in which he purposely tries to trick you. If you take all of the notes and study them intensively, you should do fine.

Study your notes and save all tests. Final exam is exact questions pulled from the first few exams. So a good grade on the final is definite. He also posts his notes in the Student Resource room so attendance is not always needed.

This prof. gives the worst notes ever. Spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, bad formatting; it's unprofessional. Tests are only difficult because of the manner the questions are asked "A and B" "A only" or "None of the above.&qu

Great guy, knows his stuff. If you ever are unclear about any aspect of the class, ask him during his office hours. The guy is crystal clear in his explainations. You really have to work for your grade.
