Her lab exams are not easy, but with some studying, it's somewhat do-able. Her midterm and final is not too hard if you've studied. Her in class exercises are helpful. She is clear on what she's teaching. Just read the book and do some recommended exercises and you will be fine. There are curves.

Comment:

One of the best professors in SJSU. She is very practical in approach and helps students to get in to the subject. Reasonable workload which you enjoy. Lab assignments improves the programming skills. She is approachable and friendly. popup quizzes and exams are easy if you are up to date in the class and subject.

Comment:

Very generous grading: 80% for an A! Watch out for the three pop quizzes, because each accounted for 5% of our grade. Lab exams are easy if you understand the most recent lab assignments. Same goes for written exams. You will enjoy Dr. Su's class because she teaches with extra care and patience that other professors lack. For me, 126 was memorable!

I really lucked out having her teach Cmpe 126. She assigns weekly programming homework as we don't have a lab section. She does a great job at explaining the various concepts in 126. We also had a couple programming exams and quizzes throughout the semester but the midterms and final were all handwritten on paper.

Comment:

One of the very few excellent professors at SJSU computer engineering department. Must enroll for her classes if you are a networking stream student. Fair grading, helpful, clear and concise. Published more than 30 papers in journals like ACM, IEEE, etc till 2010 and still counting. In short great teacher!!!
