Took this online in the summer. You will get an A but this class is super unorganized. There are tons of broken links on Canvas and he won't relink them. However, he's so lax that this won't affect your grade. Quizzes (only five questions) and tests are a joke. Use Quizlet to study for those.

Comment:

Best professor at UK. Class was almost painfully easy. The lowest grade I received the entire semester was a 96, with no effort. He's easy-going and tells you exactly what he wants. My final project took like 45 minutes, and he gave us all semester to do it.

Class is easy. Just show up. He has a lot of in-class participation discussions and they're pretty laid back. Not a lot of assignments. One big one at the end. Posts all lecture slides on canvas. Very laid back and when I had him in class I was never stressed or overwhelmed. He reminds you about assignments and gives clear directions.

Professor Lowe is one of the best professors at UK. He knows when to have fun and when to be serious. He gives long-ish lectures but makes them interesting. A great guy. And a great course. 10/10.

D-Lowe is super relaxed. Class is only on Tuesdays, Online Thursdays (changes every semester). I never used his textbook. Just follow the notes and do the online assignments that are due during class time Thursdays. He likes to joke around, very sarcastic. Attendance is mandatory. Online assignments are impt. No ex credit & 1 paper and bibliography

Best class I've ever taken! Lowe is by far my favorite professor I've had at my three years at UK. He's very real and straight to the point and delivers lectures in a hilarious way. Pretty much everyone gets A's on tests and quizzes

DLowe is the man. This is an easy A class no doubt. At times his lectures can be a little boring but the test are so easy that it makes up for it. Only downfall is that he is very liberal and kinda pushes it.

Lowe is a good guy. He is lecture heavy and boring at times but he mixes in some humor which helps the time go by a bit faster. There are lots of quizzes but the class is only graded on those one or two assignments and then midterm/final so each quiz is important. Study in this class and you'll be just fine.

COM 249 is a class you are required to take for a Comm major and Don Lowe is the only teacher for it. Expect for half of the class to be conducted through video lectures on Canvas and half as an actual lecture. His tests are extremely hard and don't follow the study guides very well, so study everything. An A is possible in this class.

Lowe is a hilarious professor that truly wants to make your education fun. I highly recommend that you take his course as you will definitely have a laugh or two per week. It turned out the class only had to meet ONCE a week after the first month of the semester!! It was amazing to have such an open schedule. Of course this means some online work.

Don is a great professor and guy. This class is based off of mass media so its interesting since it has a lot to do with social media and technology; something we can almost all say we use every day. He cracks modern jokes and has a dry humor so its easy to laugh along during lectures. He's reasonable and can tell if you truly care about his class.

He's wonderful instructor you will have 4 speeches and all quizzes will be online and easy to handle When it comes to exams there are 3 but all from quizzes and again online so it should be piece of cake to get a full mark without any problem he's not that tough grader do what he say and show some effort and you will get an A

Dr. Lowe was great. The class had two tests which you really have to study for and 6 quizzes that you have to study for some as well. There is a paper but it isn't too bad. Somewhat interesting. Dr. Lowe is funny and that often made lectures a bit easier. Easy if you study a bit and do what he says. Take this class.

This class wasn't even taught in the actual classroom. We have watch voiced over powerpoints and it was terrible trying to teacch myself. In class all we did was group work like high school students. I definitely do not recommended.

DLowe is awesome. I reccomend taking him. The lectures can get a little lengthy, but his humor always breaks up the boredom. He is a fair grader and is certainly there for his students. Overall great teacher.
