Comment:

Very funny, made lectures fell easy to understand. Took summer and had hw every day plus weekly quiz packet. Be prepared to work for grade. Final exam combo of current chapter of the previous 2 wks and summary of the first 4 weeks. Wasnt bad just study everything till I couldnt anymore.

Comment:

Professor Starr is driven by her love for her job and by wanting to see her students succeed. She went above and beyond with all aspects- the notes we took, the questions she assigned as homework, the feedback she gave on tests, were all meaningful and there never was "busywork" or waste of time assignments. She made class fun and educational.

She is an absolute saint. It seems like she wants everyone to ace her class. She has a ton of office hours and will even do pseudo-office hours at Starbucks. Just stay on top of your work.

Donna is a very lovely person and a wonderful professor. She goes the extra mile in helping her students understand the material. Her clear grading criteria helps when taking the test because you know what she is looking for. She has helpful handouts to study from. She does a couple points extra credit every test or so. Just do the homework.

Donna was an extremely efficient professor. She presents calculus in a clear cut way, as well as keeping her office open to anyone who was confused. She makes an effort to learn everyone's name, and seems to really get along with her students.

Prof. Starr is one of the biggest reasons I received my degree!! Where every other math professor failed me she did not. I am at where I am today in University because of her. I went from a straight F math student to top of the class because of how well she worked and explained things to me! She's an absolute sweetheart and I will never forget her!

IF YOU HAVE A HARD TIME WITH MATH, THIS IS THE PROFESSOR FOR YOU!!!! I took Donna's summer school class. I hate math, I'm not very good at it. I failed this class my first attempt (with a different professor) and passed Donna's class with an A! She makes learning math... dare I say it... fun!

Dont take in the summer , to much hw and quizes she dosent really go over some tuff which is in ur hw tough grader . She is to busy helping others. Math tutors is only 1 for 20 people they dont even help either would not take again

Starr is truly a very sweet and amazing teacher. Her b60/70 combined class is very fast paced but she explains everything very thoroughly. Plus she gives you notes for you to keep and they are very helpful. I would take her for every math course if I could!

one of the BEST professor I've ever had. She gives homework but she doesn't collect them it's just for practice. we have take home quizzes and a lab for each chapter. she always includes extra credits in tests. she is always willing to help in office hours. DEFINITELY will take her again. So nice and love the way she teaches.

She is amazing. I had her for MATHB60 as well as MATHB6A. She really cares about her students. She gives you a notes packet that she goes through in her lectures; this saves you the trouble of writing down every little thing. It makes it easier to keep up with her, so you can focus on understanding the material. She's funny too. She's the best!

I hated math before I took this professor. She will answer any question, and she never makes you feel dumb for asking simple questions or for asking her to explain things again. She's so caring and down to earth, she really cares about her students and will do anything to help you understand the material.

Absolutely love this professor. She made me fall back in love with math. If she gives you the option of going home early when lecture is done extra credit points are possible.

She is sweet, don't get me wrong. But heck! I went from having a 98% in my previous class to barely passing her class with a C. I have never needed extra credit and with this class I was begging for it. Only offered about 15 points (which does nothing). Do yourself a favor, take a different teacher if you struggle. Do not take Starr, difficult.

I recommend taking Professor Starr here at B.C. She really cares about her student's education and gives you the tools you need to succeed in her class. Make sure you do the homework because Math B60 and B70 is a lot of work in one semester. She is very clear and doesn't make the lectures boring(funny). Definitely one of my favorite professors.
