Comment:

Had her in Spring '10. She was a great teacher...unfortunately Biology was not my forte, buy I still passed with a C. Her study guides were fantastic! Print them out and fill in the blanks during the lecture and you are good to go. I recommended her to my friend who still needed to take this class, but I found out she was not going to be teaching as of Fall '10. Sad to see her go.

I'm not sure that Dr. Trauth is still teaching. Had her for biology in fall '08. She gives you everything you need to make a 100 in the class. Go to class and fill out powerpoints. Has study session before every test to give you every correct answer on the study guide. Made a 100 on every tests. gives bonus points. Book not necessary. LOVED her!

Comment:

She gives a study guide for all the tests, and if you fill them out thoroughly and study, you can make a good grade. She gives handouts that you follow along in class and fill out. The answers to the study guide come straight from the handouts. Highly recommend her for Biology.

Go to class; study the handouts with the slides. Easy A. She stresses that you need the book, but I made a 98% and never opened my book. Just pay attention; all tests are completely from handouts she goes over in class. I've heard her other courses are very difficult, but this one is the easiest I've ever taken. Definitely take her for Biology!

She likes to hear herself talk and so that's all she does during class. I did not like her at all because when I came to her office for questions and help she acted like I was bothering her and made me feel like I was stupid. She makes her class seem like it is the only one that is important.

She is a good teach you just have to study hard in order to pass. First test is easy, don't let it trick you the rest are hard. You must go to class everyday to do well, and she enforces attendance and disregards doctors notes. You will learn a lot.

Comment:

Dr. Trauth is a good teacher. She gives you all the assets you need to pass her tests, even though the wording may be long. Attendance is mandatory no matter what and she is an inforcer of it. I suggest you take the SLA class if you want to pass the course.

HORRIBLE. Unless your life-long dream has been to be a Biology major, take someone else. She KNOWS her class is hard. She even says "I'll see most of you next semester because I know half of you won't pass this time around." Total you-know-what. Only half of test is on study guide. Avoid her!

she is very strict. she presents her information well, but doesn't not cover all of the study guides and puzzles->from which she gets her test questions. she is a hard core evolutionist and anti religion. she has kicked people out for just mentioning religion or any god. very strict on grading. boring class. everyday routine. would not recommend.

Took this class and hated her teaching style. I'm a non traditional student and when I would ask her questions she would talk over my head or tell me that I should remember it from high school. I wouldn't recommend her to anyone unless they are already a great bio student.

Dont buy the book!! All of her test come from the cross word puzzles. Do them, fill out the study guide and you will do fine in the course. She loves what she teaches which makes it easy for non-bio majors to understand. Plenty of ways to boost your grade I came out with a B

She is a very smart lady and the class is very interesting. If you go to class and pay attention the class isn't hard it's the only class I got an A in this semester. Don't buy the book haven't even opened mine.

This class is tough, but I learned alot. Some people don't like Mrs. Trauth but she is very helpful and you know what she expects. Do the crosswords and study guides they will help you alot! She also has study sessions on Sunday afternoons before each test. I would recommend her.

She is as tough as they come. Unless you know your stuff I wouldn't suggest taking her class. She covers a lot of chapters in every class and her test are the hardest I ever had during my 4 years. If you miss a class, you had better get a friends notes. Only the smartest survive her class.

I had Mrs. Trauth for making connection- Bio. we did a lot of useless stuff for the class. We had to go to every class because 5 points were deducted for every class ew missed. She gives "review sheets" that you have to fill out in class, but (good news) the tests are just like the sheets. She is a nice teacher but doesnt put up with anything.

Dr Drauth is a great teacher, you can tell she taught high school. The class is hard though unless you have a good background in science. I worked my butt off!
