Even if you are an all A student like I am, avoid this lady at all cost. She is one of the most pretentious, rudest individuals I have ever came in contact with. I was in her course a little over a month and ended up dropping the course because of how poorly she treats her students. Even other faculty members say she is HORRIBLE.

She was a very tough grader, but overall made me a great writer. Go in and befriend her. She WILL help you. An A is very hard to come by, but if you really want it and work hard for it, you will get it.

She's tough, no doubt. You can miss quite a few minor grammatical mistakes and still make an A on essays (I did). Pay attention because she tells you how she grades papers and what she considers minor and major mistakes. Also, do the assigned readings and speak up in discussion. All in all, she's a funny, very knowledgable professor.

She's not the worst, not the best. You really have to be on top of things in her class. Essays are the only grade and making an A on them is impossible. My first B on an essay in college came from her.

Dr. White is a great professor to take. She is knowledgable in her content which makes her lectures informative. I admire her professionalism and zest for what she does. She is a tough grader but she tells you what she grades on specifically so that you can take note. I learned a lot! Great experience.

Just awful. She has no regard for the content of your essays, and only cares about the grammar and spelling. I understand the importance, but she counts off a point for every single mistakenly used comma. You could write an amazing paper worthy of an A, but the grammar/spelling will easily bring it down to a C. It is ridiculous. Just stay away.

Definitely avoid her! I wouldn't recommend anyone to her. Class is boring and you don't learn that much. She expects you to read a lot and then all you do is worksheets in class. I would recommend anyone else you can take for this class.

Dr. White is so pretentious. She just rambles on and on about useless details ALL of which you will be tested over. I thought her class on young adult lit would instruct teacher canadidates how to incorporate popular young adult fiction into thei class rooms.Should be renamed The history of young adult lit. Really, Dr. White is obnoxious!!

She's a great Teacher. She is a very nice person. I had her for three classes, (Advanced Comp. Intro to Fiction, and Celtic Studies.) Her tests and quizzes are easy, if you have done the reading.Her classes are no easy A, but worth taking, because you'll learn a She is very knowledgeable about her subjects. I recommend taking her classes.

This class is not an easy A, you will have to work for it but you will learn a lot. She is very odd and relates everything to cats and star trek, but it brings humor to the class. Have to write 5 essays and will have 3 scantron tests, but if you try you will do good. Overall a fun class and I recommend taking her.

She gave seven tests this semester, as well as a comprehensive final. Her linguistics class was so incredibly boring, almost as much as she is annoying. She is rude and I can honestly say I wish I had never taken her class, and will never take her again. Really. Don't take her.

I can't even begin to describe was a conceited, ridiculous person she is. She makes it a point to talk about the thousands of times she has been to Wales and how everyone in the class talks like a redneck except her. LOCKS her classroom door every class period and gives insanely long passwords for each week to get in the door that no one knows.

Minor grammar errors significantly lower paper scores. I wished the lectures and discussion were more provocative, but they usually didn't add much to the reading. Fairly straightforward, though in what's expected and what's important in terms of lit. theories and factual info to know on tests. Not very understanding about absences or missed/late work, with assumption that absence=blowing off the course, which isn't always the case as life happens to the best of us. 1 quiz for every reading assignments, no makeups.

She isn't that bad. Maybe a little different, but she's not too hard or anything. She does give quizes over the reading assignments, which you have everyday. She gives reviews for the tests. She gives 3 test and 3 essays, over poetry, short stories, and plays. I got an A in her class.
