Funda is passionate, professional, and inspirational. She knows what she is talking about and encourages students to participate. She never calls on someone who doesn't have their hand up and is very understanding. She is an easy grader where the context matters more than the organization.

Comment:

Dr. Funda is one of the best professors I've had at USU. Though she is often slow to grade, she works with students to equalize the amount of work we do vs the amount she does. She's an incredibly passionate teacher - her lectures are engaging and funny. Her reading selection is on point. Great class.

Funda is a bad ass and one of the best teachers at USU. She is a hard grader but it will only make you better. She really cares about her students and she makes class super fun when the subject content is not!

Comment:

A very slow grader which complicates understanding how well one is doing in the class and what they need to improve. Hefty reading loads, and if you're taking any other lit classes at the same time it's almost too much to handle. Quizzes unrealistically hard prior to class discussion. Fair grader, tries to make things interesting, good at teaching.

Love Dr. Funda! I look forward to her class so much. She knows how to encourage discussion in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable contributing and doesn't try to make you feel stupid. It's true that her tests are hard, but if you go to class you should have no problem with them. Take anything she teaches!

Dr. Funda is very knowledgeable about the subject she's teaching, as well as the books she chooes to introduce to her classes. Tests match the reading very well, so... if you read you will easily pass the tests. She usually gives a paper writing assignment in lieu of tests. She's a really good instructor.

She is incredibly kind and friendly!! Yes. But I wish I hadn't taken her class. She picks the most BORING reading material in existence (you need stimulants to get through it ... i.e. CATHER (that's the real reason she brings food)), and she's unclear in her critiques. Even though I got an 'A', I found her class a drag when it wasn't frustrating.
