Comment:
Dr. Moos is one of my fav professors ever even tho my degree is nowhere in ANTH. His life stories and teaching style is very different but still good. Has the ability to make you think about things you've never expected to. A must take if you need extra credit hours. Easy, just attend class/story time about the world.

He is one of the best professors I have ever had at KU! He has a very unorthodox teaching style and he does expect students to participate in class discussions and have knowledge of current events-kinda important. My TA was great as well! Dr. Moos turned to towards my new career goal! I would recommend this class to anyone!

Nothing but videos and rants about how he thinks Americans are stupid and KU isn't teaching students anything.

Lost my map quiz...lost my final exam paper then gave me an incomplete. One of very few students that actually attended class and have still not recieved a grade a month later. Contacted by phone and email countless times. Has a "TA" that is just a volunteer but doesn't help or respond to email either. A waste of my out-of-state money.

His class was missrepresented. It was nothing like the catalogue discription. His lectures were unstructured and awkward. He expected active debate in a class of 100. He gave conflicting instructions, almost no feedback, and presented little new information above general knowledge. 3 assignments, total. A mid-term paper, map quiz, and final paper.

Comment:
His lectures are not presented with any clear direction. He just kind of talks about whatever, and it is very hard to follow him. I would recommend this class though, it is very interesting, and when Chief Olin is there it is more similar to the lecture style students are used to and it is easier to follow. He shows alot of very interesting videos.

Loved the guy - he expects a certain amount of intellect and dedication from his students and rewards those who live up to it by drastically increasing your understanding of the subject matter. Doesn't suffer fool gladly, but this is not a problem if you are not a fool.
